The parker Vector seems like a knife while writing, it's accurate and sharp but it's very irritating how it scrapes through the paper,while the likes of Jinhao,or Pierre Cardin Presidential glides over the paper.If your strokes are fast and accurate,go for a medium nib.It's an absolute delight.For annotations in book,go for parker vector to accomodate in small space precisely.

Bro you just nailed my problem. I have a parker vector metallix which was my first fountain pen. It's so scratchy and rough that I've started doubting fountain pens. I'm a teacher and I come across various paper types while correction and on no paper does Parker wrote smooth. Absolute disappointment. If you have any recommendations for a pen that is smooth as well as looks nice please do let me know.

Actually jinhao x450 is a good fp with very smooth medium nib, for beginners they would find the pen heavy and tick writing would annoy them but medium nibs are better for people with bigger hand writing. I feel that vector's is too slim and doesn't provide adequate writing comfort.

For everyday use, Parker Vector is very good. Jinhao is a rather heavy pen and so not ideal for fast writing. It's an impressive looking pen and so good for signing.

Go for ultraflex nib from kanwrite in budget.. its one I recommend.. though many says vintage ones had better flex but thats a tricky game to get one at proper condition and price

The coverter is not standard , it is proprietory. This converter does not work with, say, a Camlin Elegente which has a standard converter.

Yes but its not too scratchy... sometimes lightly scratchy nibs give a good contact feedback on paper for a better handwriting, but that is just my opinion. Ill notify you if I come across an extremely smooth nib.

you forgot the key point, fountain pens arent made for note taking, theyre made for signatures, or for working profesionals and jinhao's luxurious looks and design isnt comparable to vector edit: pierre cardin president is also very similar to jinhao x450 and highly recommended

Dude, that is a huge misconception. Fountain pens were made for writers and government officials who wrote a lot as compared to others who could do good with dip pens. Mostly, writers and poets having to write long essays, lawyers writing their reports, and scientists writing research papers would use fountain pens. Till date, if one writes a lot, rollerball and fountain pens are the best choice, though I would recommend fountain, since they don't put your hands to strain, and don't require much pressure while writing.

Please if anybody wants to use the original Parker box as a storing box please don’t you will break the transparent cover and it may snap on your face and if you are clumsy and drop your asker don’t worry it is strong and I have actually dropped my Parker vector 😢 translucent and it still works!!! I’ve dropped it 5 to 10. Times so don’t worry too much but still there are good pens under two fifty like the baoer 388 for 250 rupees and also the looks on the baoer and don’t worry you can put bril ink and cam In ink too but it is Parker’s opinion to put Parker in so bro please tell the correct reviews please don’t tell wrong things

Parker nib seperation is very thin..... Parker Quink is less viscous so it flows better. You can also use Pilot ink. Never use Camlin ink on Parker Pens. Experiment it yourself you will see the ink clogs up. Just clean the nib after the experiment.

A great video.. but again parker quink ( marketed by luxor) is one terrible ink that really stains your pen, and is pretty cheap in quality... And for other options in this budget you may consider Beena lincoln ( its hard to get one readily) or pens from Kanwrite and Click in this budget..

Please don’t take Parker pen like this vector and other Parker pens just for the brand if you are a student or if you are gifting it to a student it has no practical use as the students need to get a good grip to write and mostly they will have sweaty hands at the end of the class so it will not make an ideal note taking writing instrument

maybe try rollerball pens, similar to fountain but better for students edit: not a big rollerball specialist more of a fountain guy but you can try pilot V series like V5 or V7 (V10 not recommended for students) or maybe trimax or pilot pens in general i can also recommend pierre cardin penomatic fountain pen for beginers, very good nib and writing experience
