welcome aboard mate! That tank is not still running, the plan was to transport it to the office with me, but then COVID hit and I also changed jobs :) I ended up selling it onto someone who was starting out in reefing and was about to re-purchase all the items we'd covered. The tank was running great too!

Whilst I understand they are both targeting similar things, they do it very differently and I personally have benefitted well from having both GFO and a refugium on my tank. Sometimes theory doesn't equate to logic in reefing! But by all means, there is nothing stopping one from using just one or the other!
