AI spending is about to go insane!! In the coming months, Trump/Musk will start touting it for national security... BOOM! .. and one company is at the center supplying the hardware.

they have much better ways to use their cash than pay dividends => r&d or mergers => new market growth + stay ahead. Companies that pay big dividends are at the end of their growth in a stable market, where investing in growth is less interesting for shareholders than paying dividends. Do you prefer 5% dividend or see your stock price grow 35% every year ?

There will be competition from the rest of the Magnificent 7 who are now designing their own custom AI chips. Then there is also Broadcom who is currently the market leader in ASIC chip design. AI inferencing doesn't require powerful GPUs. Continued AI scaling shows diminishing results and all of those all-purpose Nvidia GPUs will last a few years. The trade war will force China to make their own stuff, which will cut into Nvidia's bottom line. I feel like those projections don't take all of this into account, so there is a decent chance that Nvidia's price will drop by the end of this year or the next. Not discounting Nvidia's success, but the market now understand why they are successful. Nvidia is still capped by semiconductor supply constraints, while AMD and Intel is trying to catch up with their open-source ecosystem to Nvidia's close source ecosystem. Hyperscalers don't like being locked into a single vendor, and will put some of their business in the likes of AMD, Broadcom, or Intel. Custom AI chips excel at specific tasks and don't use CUDA. Nvidia's moat will narrow in the future, not get even bigger. Nvidia's current ecosystem has already been priced in by the market. These are all real risks worth considering for a long term investor.

This argument is flat. Broadcom and Marvel can design ASIC chips, but not GPU. Nvidia can do both if they wanted to. Everyone else is light years away. To the Moon. $800 in 2030.

you need to understand Nvidia better. ASIC are for specific functions, they don't replace generial purpose GPU's. And Nvidia is not just building GPU's. To replace Nvidia, would mean rewrite all software libraries developed by 5 million developer (the Nvidia ecosystem), NVIDIA DGX B200 is not just a GPU, but rather a complete AI supercomputing system. Competition (China) would also need to get all components from 50+ different sources: it would be a supply chain nightmare. The only things that could put Nvidia in danger are the stalling of the AI development growth, or a complete new architecture like probalistic computing or quantum computers (but Nvidia is already working on that too).
