I'm glad your family is ok! I guess that first dude figured if he ignored you long enough you'd drop it for free, since he was too busy "on the phone" to talk with you. What the cops should do when they find t by d cars were towed for expired registration/tags, etc. is to cite the owner for that and give them a warning about making a false report since they surely knew it was going to be towed after getting "stickered" and ignoring it.

Repo / wrecker / Impound driver here ! Jw why you prefer flatbed over snatch for Impounds. We usually pull them to a flatbed if multiple cars on property and go back with snatch. But you seem to have that rig running right and get hooked up faster than most I've seen with a flatbed but that trucks Turning radius is awesome as well. Hello Don, We impound with Flatbeds because our coverage area is huge and Atlanta traffic is horrible. By hauling 2 cars at a time, we increase our overall production. A “Drop Fee” is a scam that tow truck drivers use to make money, not sure about the laws over there, but where I live it’s illegal. As long as the car isn’t fully on the bed, and you’re present they have to drop it by law... no fee period.
