Not sure how to put this, but I really like how far the graphics have come from the early builds with this game (especially with regard to the robust scenery editor). There's something about it that has a really strong sense of a real park, more than what I think even the original RCTs were capable of, at least with a similar amount of effort.

I like all that mixing of path styles. I can't break away from the "1-width, single style" thinking myself and it really adds here. Plus the overall compactness while still having a decent amount of scenery. Definitely waiting for more Parkitect vids.

Really enjoying this series Silv! You have a fantastic sense of composition both for coaster layouts and each park as a whole, which I think I’ve been craving after some of the other series here on YT. Also cool to hear little nuggets of insight about your work on the scenarios. Can’t wait for the next episode!

The visual style of this game has really grown on me. I like the simplicity of it. I was sort of sceptical at first, but seeing that it really doesn't impede creativity and how modular the buildings are, it turns out it's more than serviceable. Thumbs up for that to the creators! Credit where credit is due, and it also helps to make it stand out against planet coaster as its own thing, which I think is very important as well.

I jsut found this let's play and I must say I am amazed by your talent. I have to say, for this map, I'd like to thanks whoever made the bomber plane and fighter plane from mostly basic shapes props blueprints in the workshop, helped alot with theming here. Also on thing I though fun personnaly on this map, was to go very vertical near the entrance with this map, so for example, the plane carousel was up in the air with clouds made from sphere as decoration, while a more intense ride was themed as 'repair hangar' under and a coaster passed around and wrapped around the control tower. (I don't know if a reall theme park would ever do something like that for obvious architectural and safety reasons but it was neat) I do really wish you could theme of some roller coaster cars like the wild mouse cars, though, like make them look like little planes or things like that. It would add so much to the theming aspect.

if you use a doorway wall, its the same as using the fence, (in the fact that it blocks guest view and removes the negative effect) so i use a doorway wall and color it the same as the fence to make like a fence doorway, works nicely.

Yay, another charming park! I noticed something you could improve in your park layouts tho. You tend to place queue entrances at the back of your rides, and that's a drawback from guests perspective. Guests will came across the exit first and struggle to find the entrance which is frustrating, you want the opposite to happen. Like I noticed that at Disney: you can clearly vizualise where the entrances of the rides are and how they look like... But try to remember where the exits are - it's not as simple!

I love this series! I absolutely adore watching you play Planet Coaster but I know that I never can play it to that caliber. Watching you play Parkitect makes me feel like "hey, I could do something like that!" and actually be able to do it because it's a simpler park builder medium but can still have amazing things done in it. I might be biased cause I loved RCT1 and 2 over RCT3 but eh. Keep up the fabulous work!

Doorways and building entryways in general do a lot to block staff path connections and improve scenery rating. You can find ones that fit the wooden fence look well, too. Ultimately though, underground paths are fantastic and generally really optimal, because of the 2-unit steep pieces they're very easy to hide, and underground pieces close to the surface only cost 120% of staff paths' base price. Underground is especially helpful for large and compact parks where snaking paths to the center and covering them with scenery ends up being more expensive than building them underground.
@Merlin53425 жыл бұрын
For backstage areas, you should know, the path is not negative for the place it connects to. The problem was the Personal Room, that was visible for Guests. so just maybe not use the shortes way there and use a bit more space for the connection, so you can build a fence that hide everything

I bought the game aswell after watching your last video. Funny thing about this Scenario is i put the food court at the exact same place but extended the Airport building, which only kind of worked out as i had a hard time making it look nice. I even placed the Ariplane Carousel at the same place! but other than that your park looks so much better than mine. Holy you have got some talent!

@KuraIthys5 жыл бұрын
Yes. That is indeed a windsock. I've tried to learn how to read them, since I'm a student pilot, but I don't think I'm very good at it. XD You're supposed to use it to judge wind direction and speed, both from the ground, and from the air. Typically you'd do a flyover of the airfield at about 3000 feet (roughly 900 metres) before joining the circuit. The windsock is one of the things you're looking for when you do that. Of course, if you have access to a weather report of some kind, especially the automated radio broadcast from the airport itself (if it has one) you'll probably use that in preference to checking for the windsock... The basic idea is that the sock points in the direction the wind is blowing, and each stripe on the sock is equivalent to a certain windspeed. (I forget what the demarcations actually are) so if one stripe is upright, but the rest are hanging down, then there's a low windspeed, while if all of the stripes are parallel to the ground you have a very high windspeed. Typically you want to do landings and takeoffs into the wind, so you pick the runway and direction that is closest to the line the windsock makes. (fly the opposite direction that the windsock is pointing, since it points with the direction of the wind, and you want to fly against the direction of the wind.) Obviously the runway may not line up exactly with the wind direction, but you still try and choose the closest match, if you have multiple runways available...

16:47 when you dropped down the pavilion, the decoration rating for that area actually jumped up substantially. It just remained red on the staff side of the path, but I think those paths stay that color by default. Idk, I don't think it negatively effects anything, especially since your staff does have to get through the park to deliver cargo.

You had it right, it is called a “Wind Sock”. It’s sole purpose is to show the direction and strength of gales around the runway to assist with takeoff and landing.

I got really inspired by this video, launched the game, tried to build something like a hangar for 3 hours, realized that it's all really not hangar-like and gave up. I have to sleep over this and get some reference pictures tomorrow. I'm missing some pieces in the game. There should be more slopes and corner pieces and more half-versions of everything. The houses right now get either really big or they're too small for the thing I want to hide / enclose.

i rly hate wild mouse rides, im already bad with heights - on normal coaster this is no problem, but with ones where the whole flair is tiny 90° and 180° turns and that at super high up and breakneck speed + super bumpy and brutal and catastrophically close to the tracks and all that.... yeah, not fun usual... :P
