And he was the one who convinced the kid to ask Cruz for ownership of his name, image and likeness. Now pay close attention to this next part: it's okay that he works on a contingency (most personal injury lawyers do), and it's okay that he exploited his client's situation to make more money, but the latter part is not what a great human being does, which is what I was responding to.

I mean yeah it's awful messed up, but I highly doubt she did it on purpose. You aren't necessarily expecting to get a call like that every day. There have been a few times my teenager has called or texted me n I have missed it. Especially if it's in the middle of a work/school day. I'm a nurse n if I am in the middle of handling a patient, dispensing medication or doing something that requires my full n complete attention I CAN'T answer my phone. It's literally putting someone else's life, my license n career at risk to do so. I always make sure to get back to him asap n we have a thing where if there is ever a dire emergency he is supposed to call the facility where I work n have me paged. I'm sure she lives with the guilt of missing that phone call everyday.

I used to live next door to a woman in Tahoe who owned the rights to the Manson name which she inherited through a relative. She knew very little about Charles Manson, she was not personally impacted by the crimes in any way, and she never worked a day in her life. Either way, I think it’s a smart, innovative and out of the box thinking to go after the rights to his name, ESPECIALLY since Cruz is penniless & has nothing of monetary value to give to his victims. This is smart & I really really hope Anthony is able to continue on his healing path. Complex PTSD is so life altering & life consuming, I pray that Anthony is able to find a treatment that will help him process this immense trauma & continue on living a happy & fulfilling life.

It's like a whole separate victory. For having caused mass destruction to the lives of so many, it was the right move to sign his name away. What a strong and brave person he is. The smartest thing I’ve ever seen. To own ownership of the shooters name so that he cannot agree to have a movie or documentary done on what happened that day. These victims shouldn’t have to relive that day years later because lifetime wants to make a movie about it. Bury that day along with the shooters government name. Bravo young man.
