These kids don't have to and need to talk about the emotional side of their experience, and the recovery. Sure it may add weight to the evidence already provided. But the every person's trauma process is different. Making them talk about the emotional effect can seriously mess people up. For example I can tell you how I got bitten in my face by a dog and be very factual about it. But as soon as I start talking about the aftermath and everything that happened after that and all the scar treatments I've gotten. I still notice that there's a lot of tension in my body, I start talking faster often jumping from one point to another etc. This was definitely a dangerous situation that I was placed in, and the owners response was beyond negligent. My biggest fear is that something similar might happen with one of their (future) animals, and it being a lot worse. My situation with this animal and the law that apply here are already complicated, and that directly effected my emotions/trauma. Imagine what these kids have gone through, with the media, politicians etc. Their story is theirs. It shouldn't be an entertainment thing.

My son found an empty box for an AR-15 at his school. The school sent out a letter to parents, but that's it. He was terrified to go backl, so he ended up finishing high school doing it online at home. I'm not a huge advocate for home school, but something needs to change for our kids to be safe at school.

I started bawling before anyone even spoke. The courage of these people to speak on something that should’ve never happened, is visible. It’s so hard not to get emotional when thinking about this. Just a couple of minutes permanently changed the lives of so many people. Innocent people and their families and friends. The survivors, and families and friends of the people who are no longer with us, are so strong. Nobody should ever have to feel what these people did. You go to school to learn and build a life, not to have somebody try and take it from you.

Why is there even trials in these cases… waste of time.
All im saying is that he pled guilty and the evidence is overwhelming. Why drag it for many more years.. just execute him now and get it over with. Even if he gets the death penalty they’ll wait another 16 years to do it.
@KosiOW2 жыл бұрын
Because they're deciding if he gets the death penalty or life without parole. It's how the justice system works. If anything I feel that it's a positive thing, to let the victims have closure and face their attacker if they so wish, and for Cruz to listen and feel guilty. Hopefully he's capable of that.

Prayers aren’t going to bring back the lives taken. Prayers aren’t going to give back the years of ptsd and trauma the survivors endured. Prayers isn’t going to stop another massacre from happening. Stop saying thoughts and prayers because it absolutely minimizes everything that every parter experiences and has to go through after an event like this. Let’s talk about gun reform. Let’s talk about mental health. Let’s talk about ways to identify a possible killer. Stop saying thoughts and prayers because it shows you don’t actually care about survivors or victims, you just want to look like a “good” person doing “their part”. Actually do something by voting for politicians and leaders who will give a damn try to enact change
@andrewsercer95382 жыл бұрын
Assuming you obviously don't believe in God or an eternal afterlife based on your comment. I know very few actually do any more. But if you did, then you'd understand that yes, prayers would be the ultimate gift a human can give. But modern "enlightened" humanity needs physical proof/evidence for everything, even when it's been established by logic and reasoning that not everything in our life can have a physical meaning or explanation. So, here are some more "pointless" prayers for you specifically that you will receive the graces necessary for your life. Thankfully, God knows what to do with them even if you don't. I'm not trying to single you out .... everyone needs prayers.... even moreso in today's Godless (therefore, decrepit) society.
