IMO, the two logos (on screen buttons) VW put on the bottom left of the screen at 0:19 are very unclear. I am always uncertain whether the features are ON or OFF. The confusions are these buttons use reverse logic meaning the features are OFF when activated, and it is unclear if blue color is activated or white color is activated. Base on this video, I suppose white means auto-brake is activated?

Yes, that’s right. It’s a little confusing. But you can test it with the „beep mute button“ - touched -> colored means beep sound off. So absolutely correct, white/untouched buttons leave the feature activated. Makes sense for the beeping but I don’t really know why I would want to turn of auto-braking. It might be good on surfaces with high grass etc.

Nice I've all assist packages & it works well! It've braked for me when I reversed from a parking spot & I didn't see a car coming fast in that corner soo my Passat braked pretty hard & warned me👍🏼👍🏼 two times👌🏼 Another one with a bloody bicyclist😅

Absolutely! It’s one of all the features which has really great value and can save quite a lot of money for repairs :). The only „trick“ is - you need to drive at least 1.5 km/h.

Very good viveIf minimum speed is 1.5 km/h then what is maximum speed for automatic braking ??

It’s something around >3 km/h

@@nerdrides so Maneuver braking is between speed 1.5 to 3 Km/h. I think it should be around 10 Km/h ??

It’s not designed for speeds like this... it’s designed for parking maneuvers etc. in case you miss a person, obstacle. When you are too fast, braking can not slow you down enough to avoid hitting the obstacle. It might brake at speeds like this but it makes no sense because the range of those sensors is limited - the brake path would be way too short.

just bought a new passat sel... i wanted to return the damn car after noticing the annoying rattling noises in the dashboard since odometer read only 40 miles test drive first on a high frequency bumpy road

I can confirm this but only if you have other stuff in the door pockets or you have mounted a phone holder to the dashboard or one of the vent grills. Those are also conditions where the sound of dynaudio could be impaired due to unpleasant resonances. If you cannot fix the rattling by covering the points mentioned above you should definitely ask the dealer/VW to fix it since rattling as well as creaking are error patterns car manufacturers test against during production.

Yes, they should. All Passats with ParkPilot/PDC. You can activate/deactivate it in the Vehicle Settings Menu: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qZXJoHqNjLiFhck. This Passat does not have the full assistant package.

Hmm, maybe there is a dependency with another add on feature. But it should be possible from a technological standpoint. If you know somebody with VW tools access you could probably activate it via software.

It does not... without the chrome frames you would still have the same „placeholder“ exhaust areas prepared. That looks worse I think. But that’s subjective...
