Worth noting season 1 of Parks and Rec is widely known to be pretty slow. But it picks up from season 2 and onward.

Honestly, P&R doesn't hit it's stride until mid way through the second season.

The show gets better when the writers finally decide that Chris Pratt gets funny. In other words, it's season 2. But, hey, Ron Swanson.

I'll say this for Parks and Rec and Bojack Horseman One series is naturally optimistic, the other is naturally depressing One series focuses on and explores the best things in life, the other shines a spotlight on the things that suck the most about it One series noticeably improves my mood for days after watching some episodes, the other has the opposite effect

I urge you to at least watch the first two seasons before taking another poll. the first season is so short but it is a show that gets drastically better through its second season and then only continues to get better

It picks up considerably in season 2, and helps to treat 1 and 2 as a single season given the short length of season 1. Aubrey Plaza and Nick Offerman are the best parts of the show.

really puts me in a difficult spot. i really don't want to watch a series of reactions, enjoy them and then have them stop. i think i'll just cut my losses early before you start. metaphor for my life really. push people away before they do it to me.

Show got picked up for short season not sure how it would do. Was a success, so the rest of the seasons are longer. Same with the Office

Nice, the GOAT comedies IMO are Always Sunny, Parks and Rec, and Arrested Development (season 1-3.) P&R takes a few seasons to get really good though.

Yeah, I binge watched this whole show in March. And all the characters sort of become progressively more exaggerated over the series. Which in my opinion adds to it's charm. And more quirky people are added into the mix once it gets going. *Ron is my personal favorite, although I'm nothing like him.

Good choice:) irrelevant but the video froze at the beginning right after "1-2-3", so the delayed "FUNKY" was so satisfying when it unfroze after like 10 seconds haha

Aw HELL yeah. One of the absolutely best series of it's kind. You have to bear with the first season. The showrunners were told it had to be like the Office, because that's what was popular at the time. The second season got to thread new territory, and gets progressively better as it goes, kinda like season 1 of Community. After that? It's all peak TV. For the rest of the series.

Nice Reaction, Parks and Rec is a good show the first season is arguably its weakest so I do hope you continue with other seasons down the line, but I’ll enjoy whatever you decide to choose next. Though you can’t go wrong with Ron Swanson

I, to this day, have not finished season 1 myself. I thought it was awful but was told season 2+ was great so I just skipped it entirely. I will be doing the same here but keep it up! Once you hit s2 I'll be back for every episode!

The only time you can kind of compare the Office to Parks and Rec is in the first season. Also, Leslie and Michael are very different. While they might seem similar at first you will quickly realize that Leslie is far less selfish than Michael and her motivations are completely different.

I can’t wait until we reach Season 3 when the show reaches cruising altitude! Takeoff is around partway thru Season 2. 6 episode Season 1 is only worth watching for learning the names and backstories.

What’s weird I’d both Parks and Rec and Bojack have very poor opening episodes. Bojack s was so bad it changed review standards. But you get far enough into either show and they become gems.
