The difference between a private user and a professional. For home use the Parkside equipment is really pretty good quality for the price. I had a Parkside cable saber saw. I did a lot of work with it and used it for tasks it was not really designed for. broke the reciprocating bar where the blade goes while cutting wide bits of tree logs. I wrote to Parkside and asked for that part willing to pay they said when did you buy it? We told them when and where. They never even asked to see the receipt. We just sent pictures of the broken part. They sent from Germany a brand new saber saw at no cost it took about four days to arrive. Now that is great customer service. I really can't fault their stuff for the price. I just recently bought one of these drills and I think it will do for what I need it for. It is really like the difference between a Tiger and a house cat. Tigers don't usually hunt mice. House cats don't usually hunt deer. But both are cats. :)

Nice testing, I have the bosch and on the long term is the winner. Much more robust and heavy duty. Yes the case on the bosch and other professionals tools are made from glass fiber reinforced polyamide, compared to the parkside. It is more expensive to manufacture. I have an older parkside impact driver and after one year of use, the case is cracked in the trigger area, and one day it will break. Actually in Romania the Bluetooth connection module is easy to find. I purchased two modules last year and in three days was delivered. The GCY 42 module is manufactured in Poland, at least mine. And some of the batteries are manufactured in Hungary. I personally use bosch tools on both 12v and 18v platforms. My oldest drill is from 2001 on the 14.4V battery and was made in Switzerland. But the battery packs are dead ni-cd, only working for 2 minutes. But the drill is functioning well, the brushes are in good condition, It was very well made. Bosch for me. 👍👍👍

Very professional review. For me the winner is the Parkside, you can buy almost 3 with the price of the Bosch. And if you don't put it to the absurd dead limit of your hard test it's practically the same.

I'll wait for the second iteration of the parkside. A2 or B2 , I don't know whatever the name will be. The problem of the parkside board looks identical to the b2 version of the impact driver they had. I am pretty sure that the second edition of this drill will not cut off operation. And the torque will be closer to the alleged one of 150nm. As for the screw inside the chuck, if you feel uneasy than just change it to allen one.

My friend has a 3-year-old Milwaukee M18 fuel gen 3 that's still doing fine and it uses an electronic clutch which is one less failure point in the tool. More expensive tools are made to be repaired and cheaper tools are made to be disposable. If you are a hobbyist DIYer, Blue Bosch, Flex, Dewalt, Makita, Hikoki/Metabo HPT, or Milwaukee can be worth it.

Thermal measurement like this is worthless, especially on Bosch. The measurement was something average between motor and enclosure temperature. Parkside had much larger ventilation holes that resulted in better motor visibility and thus higher temperature measurement. To measure Bosch through the holes, you'd need thermal camera with adjustable focus and higher resolution.

The Parkside has a low efficiency motor and a badly designed motor driver. Your test under load is very significative. Parkside tools are a cheap alternative to professional tools, for occasional light duty work. I wouldn't pay 100 Euros - or any sum for that matter - for a dangerous drill that will set itself on fire at your first heavy-duty work. Greetings, Anthony

I am not so rich to buy cheap stuff. With Bosch (and other good brands) you buy not only better and more reliable tool, you buy also wide service network and lots of spare parts. I can still find parts for my father's Bosch sds hammer drill that is 40 year old. It is still funtioning and can be fixed. Parkside will fail every time when you need it the most. And then, you can throw it in garbage and loose precious time to drive and get new tool. It usually fails on some stupid part like switch or casing or similar and it is not fixable. I had lots of cheap brands and it is all junk (Parkside included). No service, no parts, fails after year or two, usually in the most critical moment of work. 5 year waranty is a joke, they know that 95% of people will not bother and loose time to replace this. I am buying only good brands that have service and parts in my country and had never a single problem with my Bosch tools (I like Bosch becasue it has very long presence in my country). And come on..... Tool this days is so cheap that anyone can buy good quality tool. 200-400 euros for good Bosch (or other major brand) tool is no brainer (40 years ago when my father bought the drill was totaly different situation, good tools where expensive and rare) Fuck! I can eat and drink in one night difference between Bosch and Parkside! You cheap bunch of sissies! :)

Dude there are ppl that are working for 500eur a month do you really think they can afford 300 eur drill? Regarding Parkside its quite good for its purpose and it can last you 5 years easy.....From your experience you probably need Hilti or other top brand because you use your tools more intensively.

Bosch is more for intensive use, ie., professionals. Parkside is cheaper to buy, but in the end, more expensive for money and for environment because of more frequent failures and more frequent replacements.

@@Thomas-tf4cm Actually yes, there are testimonies and tests about that (Parkside lifetime and quality compared to Bosch, booth tools and batteries) on YT. Basically they don't compare with Bosch. Milwaukee and Makita seems to be very good too, though below. Dewalt have sometimes design and reliability problems. Bosch batteries are significantly superior to all others in terms of temperature and lifetime, but they are more expensive.
