I think there are a lot of metalheads like me that tend to look down on metalcore, i'll listen to almost any genre of metal but throw core in there and I tend to ignore it. Parkway Drive is like the only band from one of the "core" genres that I have really enjoyed, but since I knew they were a core band I avoided listening to them for years. Wacken probably exposed a shit ton of people like me to one of the first metalcore bands they actually liked.

Been a fan of heavy metal for close to 50 years and I've been to literally every type of live music show from Metallica to Pink Floyd to NWA to Toby Keith to Billy Joel and everything in between. I can say without a doubt that metal is the only genre of music that not only brings out the primal essence in the fans but also brings everyone together. I've never seen another front man like Winston. He put so much energy in Every. Single. Show. He is one of the kindest person I ever met. It's almost 10 years I follow this band and they get only higher and higher with their songs. Last time I saw them live in Milan on February 2019 I got ghost bumps for the entire show. Simply one of the best band in the scene, can't wait to see them again. So much love from Italy!

They have consistently dropped great music since 2005, and Guardians is essentially a collection of all the elements that made them great on their first 6 releases. Personally though I've always thought Parkway just brought a whole different level of energy to their live performances. The only band I've seen that gets the crowd going as crazy as they do is The Acacia Strain.

Parkway Drive at Wacken 2019 ... That was 90 minutes of pure energy. Parkway Drive, you are a true headliner. My absolute highlight at Wacken 2019. I hope you will be there again in 2021. Harder, Faster, Louder !!

Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive touring together. That would be sick. Both are hard working bands that have fully deserved all the good things that they have achieved so far.

Saw them together at The Diamond Ballroom in Oklahoma City last year. That place holds about 250 people max. Was an amazing tour!

First time i saw this band was in a small local bar in Caracas, Venezuela.. they were unknown to me... just 200 people attended the concert. Now they are the new biggest metal band !!!
