So he said, man I'm Gary Shider and I play with The Funkadelics, and my homeboy said whats up. So we went out to his Van, and he cooked his bump up and blasted/smoked it. He told us, I'm going back in the club and get on the stage with Magga Brain, they were a local group. He got his guitar 🎸 and got on stage with Magga Brain and funked the place up. I always tell him that it was a great time for R&B/Soul/Funk music. He always says that he wished that he was able to have lived during that ERA. Key Word....LIVED....we lived guys....we have an incredible "Ride" during those times....great years...great music...great fun....Thank God someone was able to record and seal this and many other timeless moments so that we can give the "young folk" a mere glimpse of HOW WE GOT DOWN!! I get kinda jealous of the generation before mine because they got to see this type of stuff as it happened. Funk was some dope shit, and George Clinton made it amazing. Thankfully, rap kept it (and most of the music my parents grew up on) alive.
