The sound is INSANE on this recording. Drum cymbals are crisp with a nice warm snare and the bass drum is solid hitting as a heart attack. The bass is nasty and funky, every thumb lick heard. Guitars are raw and electric, ringing out every decibel. Seriously sounds like this thing was recorded yesterday on top notch equipment. It has an amazing sound without being overprocessed.

Country, Folk, and Western definitely did not come from black folks. It came primarily from the Scottish and Irish; which is where most of black culture and ebonics comes from due to them largely setting in the South. Go listen to Flowers of Edinburgh. That's a Scottish folk song. Also, whites have the best BBQ in the south before you try to steal that too.
@joyce26803 ай бұрын
@@spookrockcity You're right about the ebonics which I call ivronics that poor trash spoke. As for BBQ, those whites learned how to cook from the Africans in the kitchens who wasted no parts of any animal. This is what happens when all of American history isn't taught in these schools. The Irish would have starved into extinction. The UK's original I habitats were from Africa before the Anglo Saxons. If by the south you mean south of the Equator then you're on the right path. UK and Europe stole from every place on the globe and left death, disease, liquor, and famine while looting, raping and stealing.

no, they were the greatest funk and acid funk band ever. the greatest all out band using musicianship, vocality, tightness and synchronization was ew & fire. parliment can out funk ew& fire, but ew & fire can out everything else to parliment. george clinton vs maurice white. think about it.

I grew up with it and we hadn't heard anything like it ever before. It was wild and exciting and everybody who was into rock guitar also ran to the store to buy the Funkadelic album. It took years before they got the recognition they deserved. These guys were pioneers changing musical history. Geniuses.

This musical talent and mixtures of vibe and rhythm is hypnotic and takes you to another planet if you listen to the deepness of the rhythm and the funk.

Been hooked since 1971. Navy, these tunes cut our souls. Then 1973 the War is over. We got High, danced, jammed this album, and cried when. "March to the Witchs Castle". Thank You, Eddie Hazel

This is exactly how I thought Guitar Solos should’ve sounded as a child, This whole song leaves the listener completely full. Vocals, Bass, Guitar all of it are perfect. I would kill to be 20 in 76’ instead of now!

I feel so lucky I am olde now & had the chance to see Parliament/Funkadelic in many permutations, Hendrix [many times. Prince, Michael Jackson w & w/o brothers], Aretha, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, Bob Marley...the list goes on.I did PR for bands as my first job out of college & was paid to go to shows to represent & also evaluate the "competition" At that time I knew all these musicians were geniuses, but now in hindsight I believe I lived thru a truly golden era of music. I am so lucky. :)
