We Ghanaians approves of the sanctions. MPs cannot be seen to be involved in acts of hooliganism. We dont need explicit laws. There are always gaps in our laws so in such instances, common sense should be applied. Just interview many Ghanaians on whether they approve of the speaker's sanctions? and the answer will be a big yes.

My biggest question is, ARE the MPs has authority to vandalize state property? If not, why shouldn't they be suspended by the speaker ????

Under which law or standing orders is the speaker based on to suspend those committee members. There's a procedure to follow and it's clearly stated in the constitution and the standing orders of parliament. So he has to follow that. Should we be lawless in the country and our institutions????

Just as the EC used their discretion to annul initially declared Parliamentary results of nine constituencies such as Obuasi East, Ablekuma North, Nsawam, Okaikoi Central, Tema Central, etc, let the Speaker also use his discretion to swiftly sanction the MPs who misbehaved causing damage to property costing taxpers' money, (given the video evidence) since the privileges commitee has not been set up yet.
