Western culture is rediscovering the sacred feminine denied to them by their Church due to the concept of "Original Sin" in the Bible which of course is a narrow interpretation of the Church. Female energy is sacred because it creates. It created men and everything around. This is celebrated in ancient cultures including Indian culture as worship of "Devi" or the female Goddess in all her manifestations ranging from the loving to the fierce. She epitomises knowledge (Saraswathi), wealth (Lakshmi) and power (Shakti).
