I HAD a Bebop 2 Drone and fell in love with it after a few days... I HAD the drone and learned the hard way by losing the drone due to not taking into account changing ground elevations while flying the drone in Freeflight mode. Clearing tall obstacles at 50 meters at one location may not allow the drone to clear an obstacle at a higher terrain at 50 meters. Next time I will be much more careful when I buy another Bebop 2, which I will. I think it is a fantastic drone.

Very strange this video. Parrot have told me they won't replace my fly-away drone because I was flying near water, and that's not covered under the warranty. Yet they show a low flight over water to advertise their product.

Parrot are a french company and very diffiult to lodge a complaint with. I emailed them to say that all the batteries were dead and couldn't charge. Eventually they reacted and emailed me. Sent a cheque in the end that covered the price of two batteries. The charger is still a bit iffy, but I ordered three third party batteries with their refund.

Nice feature! I am rather disappointed though that this is a feature you have to pay extra for! It is a very expensive addition! Most apps are much less, and this is just an addition. Question, how do other people pack their drone for travel? I like to travel light (just one bag).

I purchased the flight plan app to test and notice that you cannot set the jpeg picture intervals to more than 6.2 seconds when flying at a speed of 1 meter per second. I need to take a picture every second. Can I set this up in the drone time-lapse settings instead?

Love the flight planner. I use it for every flight with my Bebop 1. I was thinking of buying the new spark but they don't have any kind of waypoints app for it at this time. I am now thinking of getting a Bebop 2 since the price has dropped and you get the FPV and sky controller 2 at such a great price. Is there any plans for a Bebop 3 anytime soon?

I just tried it for the first time today. I was kind of impressed. There were a few problems I had though. The drone didn't exactly aim the direction I set up for it in the plan, or fly as high as it was supposed to. Anyone have any suggestions on these 2 items? Any help on the matter would be very much appreciated. Anyone else had any adventures with this stuff yet?

Juhu, der FlightPlan ist draußen! Doch die Freude war innerhalb weniger Sekunden zunichte, als ich gesehen habe, dass man für diesen nochmal 10€ (9,99€) ausgeben muss. Schließlich habe ich schon 500€ für die Drohne selber ausgegeben (ohne Skycontroller, der genau so viel wie dir Drohne kostet!!). Und wieso braucht man so eine riesige Antenne? DJI hat es doch auch mit einer kleineren geschafft. Dass mit dem FlightPlan muss ich mir nochmal gut überlegen, ob ich das Geld nicht lieber sparen möchte um mir eine Drohne von DJI zu kaufen...

9,99 € sind 2% von 500 € - wo ist das Problem?! Gibt genug Videos hier, wo nur mit einem Smartphone 300m und mehr erreicht werden. In der BRD darfst du eh nur so weit fliegen, wie Sichtkontakt besteht und du in den Flug aktiv eingreifen kannst. Ab 100 ist's schon schwer u erkennen, wo vorn und hinten ist. Vllt bietet dir DJI die "bessere" Drohne, aber zu einem ganz anderen Preis. Golf und MB S-Klasse zu vergleichen funktioniert auch nicht wirklich. Ich finde, dass man für 510€ (mit ein bisschen googeln 460€) ein gute Drohne in der Hand hat, die mit der App ein tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat. Gruß

+PhönixFeder Also Techniker bin ich nicht. Hast du in der App die maximale Flughöhe auf 80m begrenzt? Kann man in den Steuerungseinstellungen festlegen. Ansonsten würde ich mal sagen, liegt es am Empfang beziehungsweise Sendeleistung deines Smartphones. Kann auch sein, dass der Boden etwas reflektiert und du dadurch in der Breite bessere Sende- und Empfangsleistung als in der Höhe hast.

Yes if the bebop loses wifi during the flight plan it will continue to fly its entire flight plan and will land where you told it when it's finished

When you did the Plan and it goes out of Range it will follow the Plan you made. When you loose your Connection it usually comes home After 30 seconds from where the Bebop started. Saw a video and He showed that .

Apparently, if you fly off a cliff it will stay at the same altitude, not sure what happens when you're approaching a cliff... I have yet to test, but I'm presuming (lol) it can 'see' rising inclines. Seems to handle the steps.

Thanks to this 'magic' flight plan, I lost my Parrot Bebop 2 drone. It simply let you delete the landing action. To be more precisely, when you try to change something in the actions plan it replace landing with any other action. Result: it will not land anymore and if the altitude of the flight plan is around 150 meters, over the sea then you lost your drone. Thank you Parrot for this 'flight plan mode'

I agree.. looks and sounds awesome. BUT after charging for the app that should come with the already pricey drone you might follow all the instructions and send yours off on its first mission only to see your hard earned money fly off out of sight never to be seen again as the return home features reliability does not stack up as advertised by parrot. After taking your cash the customer service department will shaft you with a sorry for the inconvenience and please refer to the retailer if you need anything further statement. They do not stand behind there product nor do they seem to care about anything but the buck they make from us. Dji has far superior products and they do stand behind what they advertise and sell. Probably why Dji owns over 60% of the drone market... Ever heard the words customer service? Parrot doesnt seem to have.

Today I got an answer from Parrot about minus values: "As this is not safe for the product, Parrot has eliminated this option"....? In my private opinion this is a completely not justified explanation. If I cant keep the drone only 50 m above ground that is not safe? If I start from 1200 ASL and fly to the valey at 800asl My drone will be flying 400m above the valley!!! Its forbidden!!! That is not safe!!!! If minus values of height are unsafe, why did you give the option of switching off the geofencing??? I think that Parrot just ignored that option and gives that "original" explanation. As a payed product I declare that the product is damaged and not full value What do You think about it???
