What if you're using your iPhone as a camera, and another iPhone/iPod as your teleprompter? Think that combo would work?

Thanks for the review. One update you might look into is the overall weight of the prompter when using it with a Sony a6100 and an iPhone 11. The weight of the iPhone coupled with the somewhat smaller mirroless camera fitted with a 50m kit lens is enough to cause a shutdown error on the Sony. Essentially, since the Padcaster/device is only supported by the screw on adpater on the end of the lens, the bulk of the weight is compromising the lens to camera body connection at the base of the lens...not good. Despite this wrinkle, I still love this device, so I'm exploring ways to support the prompter under the iPhone to correct this. Please reach out if anyone runs across any ideas.

Great Video. I bought it and it's amazing except that I have vignetting on at the upper corners. Is there a solution to the problem? I use a cannon M50 mark2 with a sigma 16mm objective. Thanks in advance.

Sorry no, that’s a wide lens you may need to just crop the edges 🤷♂️

@@AdrianSalisbury I figured that, at home it’s not a big deal, it’s just a bit, it could become a problem on the go though, with stabilization witch crops already or 4 K.

Well done, mate! Love how excited you got about it. When recording, did your lens pick up the corners of the parrot? Which type of lens did you use?

If my iPhone is inside an Otterbox case, will it still fit? Or do I have to take it out of the case every single time that I’m going to be using this teleprompter?

it works with canon 22mm lens?

Yes so long as you get the right ring for your lens

Is the lower part of the teleprompter metal? Phone glass on metal does not seem to be a good idea. :)

Hi Adrian, I thought you were mentioning a 46 mm ring/adapter in your video, but that size does not exist in the actual product disription. What size did you use? Does a 46mm ring comes standard with the v2 of the parrot teleprompter? Please advise. Thanks.

Yes, it does, it's one of the things they included along with the remote. The packages seem confusing. At worse, if yours come without reach out to me and I'll point you to one on Amazon ;-)

Hi Adrian, thanks for this, very helpful, just wondering would I be able to use it on my Canon camera without a tripod? Could it be propped up on something do you think? Also I tried to download my scripts from dropbox to the parrot app but it was completely impossible - did you manage to easily?

Great video! Very useful info!! However, I wanted to ask: How far do you sit from the teleprompter? I wanted to use this thing with a wide angle lens (11-15 mm) but I believe the walls of the teleprompter will be seen. I read somewhere that you need at least 28 mm for the walls not to appear in the image. What focal lens do you use and at what distance do you stand from the teleprompter?
@AdrianSalisbury5 жыл бұрын
On my Panasonic it's a 20mm lens which is equivalent to 40mm on full frame. I sit at just over arms length from it. I hadn't considered wide angle limits but will give it a test soon.

So.... 100+ $ for a piece of plastic and a tiny glass?
@theautomationchannel69205 жыл бұрын
I think It will not work with Sigma 16mm which equivalent to 24mm.
@gibbelspublicaffairs3615 жыл бұрын
It won't. I just bough this teleprompter (different brand but same build). I also wanted to use it with my Sigma 16mm on an APS-C camera. It's too wide and the black sides will be in the frame. I tried it with my 24MM pancake lens (on an EF to EF-M adapter) and it works fine! The downside of course is that the Sigma 16mm is a fantastic lens and also that with the 24mm, you will have to sit much further away from the camera.
