Well said!!!! Like every pet, people really need to investigate all aspects, time and care and realize it’s a commitment like children ( in my opinion) . Not something you can throw away when you get bored. We’ve rescued dogs, lizards and parrots. They all have sad stories of the owners/caretakers getting bored. They don’t realize the time and costs involved, like you noted. Mango went for the ipad again when she saw Bonnie. Lol

I think you hit all of the salient points. They aren’t toys. They are sentient, very intelligent beings. I always advise people to talk to a number of bird owners to get all of the pros and cons. Then do research. Don’t be misled by what’s on social media. Those birds are the product of a lot of love and attention. Sharing one’s life with a bird can be absolutely fabulous or a nightmare.

Yeah… rescued a bird today- more soon. It’s important to understand how to take great care of a parrot

Love your videos!! What is your golden conure weight and what is the typical weight for them? There is a lot of different info about it. And would love to see a video of how to feed goldens, their diet seems to be a midway of a parrot and macaw. Mine needs nuts everyday but i am afraid in the long term, besides pellets.

Hi Kalyn. We want to know what you think about raising 2 African Greys together as hand fed babies for pets. Would they likely be friendly toward us? Or an African Grey and a Galah raised together. We want to try one of theses combinations. We lost our wonderful African Grey we had over 35 years. We want to raise 2 babies together next Spring. Just getting one is also an option. What are your thoughts? Thank you so much.
