which pet bird is best to get. I have had experience with budgies, finches and Senegal parrot. I loved the Senegal parrots but they died and we ran out from where I was from. The store I am going to adopt a bird has Indian ringnecks, and Cockatiels.

Not the best idea unless they are already very comfortable with each other outside of the cage..you could also give them cages right next to each other to see if they become Friends

When our cockatiel died from egg yolk peritonitis, we decided to buy another bird. This bird is now 6 mo old, very friendly and snuggly. We thought we'd get a friend, which is 2 mo old. We're having a difficult time trying to tame the new bird. Both birds came from the same breeder with different parents. Both birds were parent fed. Should we be leaving him/her in the cage until it's friendly? I feel guilty letting the other bird out to roam freely but not the new one.

Well it's almost impossible to bond with the bird if u bought a pair of em as it refuses completely to bond it might perch on ur finger or sit on ur shoulder but it would never ask for a cuddle from you

I have two cockatiels. The vacuum cleaner doesn't bother either one of them and the one likes to get on the cord I'm holding and ride around while I vacuum the living room
