This week, we ask an incredibly broad question: what is the purpose of the nation of Israel in this world? To answer this, Rabbi Fohrman points out a fascinating connection between the three blessings Balaam (accidentally) gives the nation of Israel and the three blessings God gives to Abraham in Genesis. These links, Rabbi Fohrman argues, provide incredible insight into our purpose and our destiny, as a nation, and how we can bring God's blessings into the world.

Torah was given not only to the Jewish people. It was given to all of us. Torah is the book of life for all people. Shabbat Shalom.

First to the Jews. Then to the rest of the world. That is God's order. And yes, the whole world has been blessed through the Jewish people sharing Torah and the good news of Messiah with us. 🙏 Baruch HaShem!

Appreciate the teaching by digging deeper, however, it is unnecessary for the loud background music which created competition for listening. What a distraction.

The Noahide Laws - the seventh law is to establish courts of Justice on the Earth. It is the duty of all Noahides to bless the blessed and to curse the accursed.

The verse about those who bless will be blessed is speaking to Abraham and his descendants not speaking just from Israel and his descendants onwards. The verse says through Abraham’s children will nations be blessed not through Israel’s only. The Torah is the perspective of Jacob who became Israel. The Torah does not contain how he made other nations as why would it contain someone else’s experience of how they made a nation such as the one right next to them as that is from another perspective and meant to be that way.

when God said too "ABRAHAM", I will bless those that bless "YOU"... he is talking too abraham in the singular form.... the fact that all the nations will be blessed through Abraham is a refference about the messiah coming through Abraham... the blessing and curses is not about the whole nation of Israel but rather it is about Abraham !

Good luck ! That's just a change of actions to be a good person, so everybody can see you, but what you need is a change of heart, and for that you need more than a bunch of rules, I enjoyed the video though.

Balaam & Abraham stories parallel, because Balaam is Abraham & Moshiach, captain of Lords host. Balaam is captive, like Samson, Joseph, Daniel, etc. He curses Israel because Balak, Haman, Nebuchadnezzar (fiery furnace = you're fired), frames Balaam for Balak's heinous crime: 9/11. He stole Balaam's work, stole Ahasuerus plans, Babylon emptied the valuables from Temple (Isaiah & Hezekiah), stole works of God: design of Ark (holds back Jordan) & used it as weapon to destroy Twin Towers (Daniel 8, Samson & foxes, Gideon & torches/jars, Joshua at Jericho). Pretext for worldwide destruction of Jews/Israel. When? In immediate future. Which nations? Psalms 83. Balaam blesses Israel when he's freed from lions den, Potiphars prison, as Samson tears down Philistines. Story activates/connects with a ton of stories & detail. More on my twitter feed, fyi/fwiw.
