We did the free range thing for many years. This spring i said "NO MORE!" We converted an old goat pen into their new run and I'm so excited to have our yard and porch back, poo free 🙌 They had acres upon acres to free range, but where did they want to be? Tearing up my flowers and grass, digging holes and leaving their calling cards everywhere we walked. Free ranging is not all its cracked up to be 😂

Your chickens look very well taken care of. 💜 I live on a ranch and mine aren’t free range chickens because of the danger of predators. Hope you guys have a great Summer!

I put together two 10' chainlink dog kennels for my 5 chickens. I also put dog kennel panels across the top. I have multiple red tail hawks that hang out in my yard, in my trees, and perch on top of my garden umbrella 5' from my chickens licking their beaks at how delicious my chickens look. I understand keeping them penned up. I can only let mine out for about an hour in the evening when hawks aren't active.

Sorry you and your family got the flu no fun! All the coughs sounded so sad! I hope you’re all better and have a healthy rest of the summer! The chicks are so cute! Will be fun to see feathers grow and mature! What will you do if he is male? I’m glad you keep your chickens safe if you lived out in the country where you had acres and acres of land it would be different but you do the best you can!

Hi Janelle and sweet family! Sorry to hear the family has been sick. Hannah is so cute and excited about the baby chicks. I couldn’t free range my chickens either, we have a lot of predators too. Hope everyone has a blessed day ❤️

Charity can’t have chickens at her apartment so we took over the coop instead of Charity getting rid of them

You do what you have to do to keep your chickens safe. My family still wear a mask in fact we never took it off and we have not gotten sick. I wish your family a speedy recovery.

I still wear a mask out in public too and still haven’t gotten Covid or Flu.

@@karbear26. My family masks out in public still too. Not sick since 2020 when this started. It’s worth it for us. Our daughter is immune compromised so we have to be careful.

Poo poo to the naysayers about your chickens. They look fat and healthy,give you eggs and seem very well taken care of
