According to hanafi school of thought Ayesha ra was 7 years old when got married to Rasulullah saw but she wasn’t until 9 years old when she goes her rukhsati done and went to Rasullullah saw’a house back then it was a norm to marry younger girls and girls of age 8 would be mature then now adays girls and also it Allah swts command to get Rasulullah saw married to Ayesha ra who was the daughter of his best friend Abu bakr ra There’s a lot wisdoms scholars have come out with 1) while she lived with Rasulullah saw she was very young so her memory was very sharp so she could easily remember hadeeth and she narrated a lot of the hadeeth after Rasulullah saw passed away 2) she lived for 50 years more after Rasulullah saw and became one of the biggest teachers of Islam she would teach a lot of people about Rasulullah saw’s life and narrated hadeeth 3). She was the only Virgin wife Rasulullah saw had all the others where either divorced or widows

Regarding Ayesha R.A age, you need to understand that it was a different society and a different century. the norms were totally different back then. You just can not compare this with the sense and sensibilities of today's world. Arab women back then achieved maturity very early and it was completely normal for them to marry at that age. This argument is of course for any non-muslim who has reservations on this topic. We as Muslims do not need those justifications because we understand that Ayesha R.A was married to the best of creation, the best human that has ever existed or will exist. She is one of the most fortunate and blessed women on earth and the discussion of her age is irrelevant. Hope this clears it out. Peace.

In Arabs it was a custom to start counting age after the age of puberty so if someone cross her puberty age after 11 so when she will be 17 then her age will be 6 according to this. And Based on Islamic history, Hazrat Asma, Aisha's sister, died in 73 AH- which refers to the Islamic calendar's era, starting from 622 CE, the year Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) migrated from Mecca to Medina. So, 73 AH means 73 years after the migration, which corresponds to 693 CE. Now, calculating backward, Asma would have been 27 years old during the migration. Since Aisha was reportedly 10 years younger than Asma, that would make Aisha around 17 years old at the time of migration, and possibly at the time of her marriage. This alternative calculation challenges the commonly cited younger age and suggests Aisha was likely a young adult when she married Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
