Your videos are among the best on KZbin for car repair. In my case, this convinced me that this is a repair to hand off to the professionals as I lack some tools (and skills) to complete the job. But that still makes the video very useful! I'm now better educated about how the cooling system is assembled and didn't waste my time and money attempting a repair that I couldn't complete. Keep it up.

The videos are both to show people how to do the repair and to also inform people about the steps needed so that they have a basic understanding of the work that goes into the repair. Nothing wrong with knowing your limitations. Make sure to subscribe and appreciate the kind words as well.

Thank you so much for the videos. The videos helped me remove the radiator fan assembly on my 2008 300c Hemi. Is there a way to remove the actual radiator without putting the car on a lift? thank you again for this video!!
@MotorCityMechanic
@MotorCityMechanic 8 жыл бұрын
+Dave Weissinger You don't have to put it on a lift. I did in the video to help me do the job faster and for better camera views. It would help to jack the front of the vehicle up inorder to get more access to items. Just make sure to be safe and use jack stands and a good floor jack on smooth level ground. Thanks for the comment and for watching, Make sure to subscribe

Hey dave...like I have mentioned before and below in one of my posts, awsome videos brotha and thank you...your info on my radiator installation was a success however yesterday out of nowhere my radiator fans completely stopped working. Also, my ac blows cold for about 2mins before it stops blowing cold...the car was driving fine all day yesterday and then at a red light I heard and felt a pop and the fans never worked again. I think I'm checking the correct spot for the relays..I do notice the clutch engaging on the compressor too but really see the outter pulley spinning. I cant figure out what's going on. Especially why the fans wont work being I think separate from the ac...any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..its for 2006 Chrysler 300c 5.7hemi and thank you

This exact same problem happened with my 300c. I was stopped at a traffic light and I felt a small "thud". Couldn't figure out what happened until I got home and had coolant was leaking.. The driver's side fan had failed and the blades punctured the radiator. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yeah I hate when that happens. Thats one reason when I inspect one of these I grab the blades and see if any movement. Sorry it happened....glad you found my video so you know what to expect. Thanks and make sure to subscribe

What brought me to your video is that the driver's side fan on my 300c/Hemi, is vibrating when it kicks in at high speed with the AC =ON. The vibration is significant enough that you can feel it through the brake pedal at a stop light. It kinds of surges ("pulsates") and you can see the review mirrors resonating with it. I originally thought it was the AC compressor dying as the vibe stops when you switch the AC off. What ticks me is that I replaced both fans and MOTORS only 7K mi ago when the same fan failed and punctured the radiator. MY guess is th fan has a bad bearing. Fan is not bad ($45), but the fan motor is NOT cheap..$150++.
@MotorCityMechanic
@MotorCityMechanic 6 жыл бұрын
Make sure no issues with the blades on the fan. I damaged/broken/missing blade will cause a lot of vibration for sure being that its out of balance. Then off course the typical grabbing and seeing if there is bearing play is the other method.

Hi, Thanks to your video, my removal and installation of both Fan and Radiator went flawlessly on my 2007 Chrysler 300C with one exception. My check engine light came on, and I can't get it to turn off. Iv'e tried most of the tricks on KZbin but nothing works. The car is not over heating and everything works well. Can you tell me how to get that light off?

There should be a recessed allen bolt in the top front of the waterpump assembly. with the engine cold and the engine off.....remove that allen bolt and add coolant to the coolant bottle and keep filling until coolant comes out the bolt hole where the allen bolt was. Then reinstalled the allen bolt and then adjust the level in the coolant bottle. Recheck over the next few days when cold to see if any change in the bottle level.

5.7 hemi ...while driving...the heater goes cold sometimes
@MotorCityMechanic
@MotorCityMechanic 8 жыл бұрын
+lashaa Wiley Usual leaks are at the thermostat gasket/seal. But you mentioned they can not find a leak. I would make sure that the radiator fans are working correctly. That would be after making sure the coolant level is topped off and the air is bled out the coolant system.

hey man. how do u remove the dipstick tube from a 2006 Chrysler 300c 5.7?
@MotorCityMechanic
@MotorCityMechanic 8 жыл бұрын
+Ray The dipstick tube is bolted to the passenger side of the cylinder head at the front of the exhaust just below the valve cover. One you get that taken loose.....you need to gently move the dipstick tube slightly back and forth while pulling up on it. I don't have a video on that but that pretty much summarizes the removal. I have a 2006 Magnum with a 5.7 HEMI. Recently, It began to overheat while idle, while driving, etc. The coolant bubbles up as well. Ive noticed that the only time the engine will stay cool is on the highway (while driving at a constant pace). This made me lean more towards a fan/radiator related issue. Has anyone had this issue as well? Any help would be much appreciated.
@MotorCityMechanic
@MotorCityMechanic 8 жыл бұрын
It's common to have a fan issue and your description sounds like the scenario that would point towards that as well. Some models had one or two fans. Checking these is highly recommended. Having a scanner that can actuate the fans is very helpful. Otherwise supplying power and ground to each fan is another method......having a power probe would make life much easier
@jknight3021

I completely agree. I just ordered a new set of fans this morning. Should be here by this weekend and ill do a quick install. Its pretty common for the fans to die out pretty early on these 5.7 HEMI engines. Im glad it wasnt anything too major like a blown gasket
@MotorCityMechanic
@MotorCityMechanic 8 жыл бұрын
+J Knight it just a matter of how hot it got. In some cases it can warp the heads. The head gaskets are multilayered steel so they don't blow like engine long ago.....with the heads being aluminum.....they warp. Hopefully all goes well and no further issues
