On this trip I hike and fly fish my way through an area of Tasmanias Central Plateau (fuel stove area only, no campfires permitted). I started the trip with the intention of being out there for 5-6 days but once I was out there the place was just so stunning I just wanted to see more so ate less of the food I took with me and relied on catching fish to stretch my food source out and just get walking further, and further, and further.
Part 1 features a beautiful remote valley with a crystal clear river that meanders its way through it that was filled with small brown trout.

Wow! Spent December in the Central Highland, a Magnificent place with great people too. Wasn't as successful as you with the trout but caught a few. I think you portrayed the whole experience with the credit it deserves. Kind regards from NZ.

Brilliant mate. Done alot of 20km day trips in there myself, but 90km that's awesome. Gods country. Do you mind if I ask a rough guide of the route you travelled?

Thanks mate. Didn't plan on covering that distance (was more like 100 if I logged all my side trips) but the place was just too good to leave! I drove down to the very end of the Forest road that leads you to the walks in the area and followed the M**** river all the way to its source (the lake in video 3) and exited via the north east. Have a squiz at some topographic maps and I'm sure you could figure it out, after all the planning is the fun part😉
