Even when John Micheal’s gatherings have ended his music still plays in my heart. He is in my heart a heavenly reminder of how to bring a little paradise in our life.

Thank you for your worship and testimony! I thank God for using you all these years. As I look back over my life, God has always led me to great mentors ... Starting out as as young black teenager girl loving God and music, I played the classical guitar. I happened to be in a music store and spotted an album with a young man and his classical guitar on the front of the album ... The rest is history . I am so glad you are still going strong for Jesus, as I am!! May God continue to bless and keep you!!!

John Michael, In 1990 or 1991 I attended a Charismatic Catholic Convention in the Anaheim Convention Center. Cardinal Roger Mahony was the presiding Bishop over the convention. There was about 25,000 Catholics in the Convention Center and you began to play. I must tell you that it was like a group of Angels playing for your music was stirring my soul beyond measure. Now even though I was born and raised a Catholic, I consider myself to be a follower of the Gospel without constraints of Denomination. Just like this church when you began to perform, 25,000 Catholics were sitting on their hands quiet as a church mouse. After a few songs went by I could no longer contain the Holy Spirit and I stood up alone and began to Worship God in Spirit and Truth, Dancing and Praising God out loud. The looks I was getting from others felt like they wanted to fire was burning in their eyes with displeasure. I could not help it, I refused to sit while this glorious music was being played. The next thing I know, One other brother stood up and joined me, then another, Before too long there was 25,000 Catholics rocking the House for Christ being stirred by your music and Worshiping Christ. I have never EVER forgotten that day. That all it took was one person with the fear of God in Him, filled with the Holy Spirit to be courageous and follow Christ and it changed an entire City. I was incredibly Blessed that Day and I never got the chance to thank you for being such an incredible Blessing. I did speak at length to a number of the Sisters in your community but here I am thanking you 27 years later. Praise God for your heart for the things of God. Take Care and God Bless... Brother John

Mal Tomlin Numinous comes from the Latin numin- meaning "divine power." This word also comes from numen, a word used to describe the spirit or divine power characteristic of a thing or place. However, you don't have to be in a strictly religious environment to experience something numinous; you might see the beauty of a painting or the melody of a song as numinous - if they communicate a spiritual vibe.

@@MalTomlinor a centuries old gothic cathedral in France, or an overlook in God’s wilderness, the clean and pure earth, where human hands have not touched nature as God created it, functioning and evolving as it was created to do, with plants that bloom and grow and feed the creatures that themselves have arisen from this soil, air, rain and snow. From the mountains which have worn down to plain, and arisen again. All according to God’s own laws and plans for us and all other beings that coevolve with us and this universe. Those same laws now loose their fury when the planet’s built up energy in the form of winds, rain, winds, extreme heat and cold, and fire. I am privileged to have survived as did my hermitage, the Camp Fire in northern California which burned the town of Paradise. Paradise is now arising anew with some of its old residents and completely new ones. The whole experience has been amazing, mind shattering. At least 85 people died, either in their cars trying to escape the flames, or in their homes. Children from the schools escaped in buses driven by brave teachers and drivers. Forests of cathedral tall pine trees, gone in a few hours. When I came home for good, seven months later, there was a black bear and a rattlesnake in the back yard, a fisher smelling around the windows at night, looking for a way to get to our cats who live with us, and a dried up scorpion and mormon cricket in the sticky trap in my bathroom. Since then, we have not seen any more bears, scorpions, fishers, mormon crickets, and only one more rattle snake, plus some easily avoided black widows, some camel spiders, never seen before, a parade of seasonally migrating birds, resident hawks and eagles flying high on the thermals rising from the nearby canyons, turkey buzzards, an occasional miniature deer, resident created quail, and hear howling coyotes not far away at night. Ah, the wonder, the miracle of it all. I am back at church now, Episcopalian, which is in our area very liturgical, with beautiful worshipful music, and actual walkable labyrinth outside, and open to anyone who comes in to be with us. Something like Catholicism lite. I still steer clear of Catholicism in America finding it so overlain by politics abd definitely the so-called evangelical churches which now seem to be full of hate-filled white supremacist conspiracy mongers. I do not hate these people, but do fear their influence and rue their oppressive control over innocent women and children. I see now a society full of seekers, people who have freed themselves from abusive cults. I see them looking for God and Christ and they end up rejecting both, becoming avowed atheists, and turning their backs on organized religion, thinking that Christianity=mega-churches, complete with slick rock bands, and unordained pastors good with microphones. So now, we have would-be and actual dictators and the rise in every quarter of anti-semitism in former bastions of liberal tolerance. We must pray for and protect our Jewish brothers and sisters and protect our society from the depredations of the aggressively expansionist religion of those who believe in a god they have called allah and who keep women in covered up bondage, preferably illiterate. They were stopped in the last millennium as they overcame the societies of the Balkans, up to Spain, northern Africa, the middle east, southern asia all the way up through the southern Philippines. But they are once again on the move, fueled by the petro-wealth of Arabis, and renewed hatred of not just the nation state of Israel but all Jews, and by myths that obscure verifiable world history of the past 75 years. We may still have time to save our planet from truly irrecoverable damage to support and nurture not just the plants and animals that have so far survived the forces of extinction as well as ourselves. The solution we must be serious about enacting is to eliminate all combustion and other releases of the major greenhouse gases of coal, petroleum in all its forms, methane, including natural gas. The fact is that we now have the technologies and technological know how to actually do this. Every one of us must do everything we can to make this happen. We now make all our own electricity with a system of solar panels and backup batteries. And we’re growing more and more of our own food. We have maybe six or seven years left to actually do this, to stop and begin to reverse the overheating of our planet and destruction of all which and whom we hold dear. My dear brother John Michael, I am 55 years too old to qualify to become a resident monastic in your community, which I would certainly do if I had those 55 years to live over again. You are a hero, a saint for our times and I pray for your health, your safety, and for the ongoing outpouring of the Holy Spirit that your ministry is engendering. I thank and bless you for your music and the humility and artistry that you bring to us who have eyes to see and ears to hear.

This is still a fresh message from the Holy Spirit and it is also cool to see what John Michael is doing now, releasing online concerts & new music. God never fails. May He continue to renew the face of the earth and all the Church...the whole Body of Christ -- Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox. I also wonder how that 8 year old boy is doing in 2020 at age 15. 😇Thank you, John Michael, for all the years of dedication to making quality worship music and the ministry of spiritual healing...one heart at a time. 💖🙏😇

I have been a member of charismatic churches for many years. I was treated really bad because of my mental illness. They tried to cast demons out of me and it didnt work because i needed medical care. I finally started thinking for myself and quit being abused by these churches. Most of our judgement is going to be on how we loved God and treated and loved our fellow man. I still hold on to my basic Charismatic beliefs but I go to a Church of Christ. I love it. It is so simple and unobtrusive. They have helped our family financially and spiritually. I dont agree with everything but theres a lot of love there. Basically most churches have some error in them. And no by no means do I think I have all the answers. I love john Michael because he has a lot of love. I dont agree with a lot of Catholic teaching but I believe there are born again christians in that church. I believe john Michael holds charismatic beliefs. I think he is also an awesome guitar player. I try to emulate his style and play some of his music - though Im not as good as he is at it. I think we need to let our guards down and start loving each other in the different churches. Do I believe there are many ways to God? NO. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father and the only way to salvation. The core teaching is there. And like an old pastor of mine said you eat the meat and throw the bones over your shoulders.

truthtuube-if all you are going to do is bash the Catholic Church, please go elsewhere. Your comments are so full of inaccuracies they don't even make it worthwhile spending the time to refute those inaccuracies. Your mind is closed to the real presence of Jesus Christ found in the Catholic Church in the Upper Room, the Last Supper, and in Pentecost which is when the Holy Spirit descended upon these first believers and they were, indeed, reborn again in the Spirit.

The word Saint means set apart from the world and being part of Gods Kingdom. When Paul writes to the church in Corinth he calls all the members of the church saints. Then he goes on to tell them all the things they are doing wrong including one young man who is sleeping with his fathers wife. There's no such thing as a saint the way the Catholics see it. People that are voted in to Saint hood. I'm a saint you cant tell me that I'm not.

I enjoyed up to 53 mins. The statements of the church of the book of Acts being "Catholic" is just so wrong on so many levels. There is no Mary devotion, no "bishop of Rome", (Fact: Peter never made it to Rome and no history exists to prove he did; it's make-believe.), no apostolic sucession, no Pope "Holy Father" (contrary to Jesus' explicit command NOT to call any man "Father" in that way), no order of priesthood, no nuns, no beads, no idols (saints), no "holy water", no transubstantiation, no confession to a "priest", no purgatory, no celibacy... In spite of all the errors of the Catholic religious institutional system, which has ignored Jesus revelation that one must be born again of the spirit, for thousands of years, thus condemning multiple millions to death without salvation, I admit there is enough truth preached in the midst of all this for a soul to get saved and that there are a good number of genuinely converted souls in the Catholic Church. I like what JMT is doing but I feel he's still searching and has a perhaps unconscious ambition to emulate some mystical Catholic supposed saint. He seems to be channeling his idea of what such a person might have been like but it comes across as an odd anachronism which doesn't quite fly. No question the guy and his brother are immensely talented musicians. I'm happy to see him bringing a higher level of spirituality to those inside of the Catholic system.

So you mean you can interpret the bible more correctly than the Catholic Church who compiled Scriptures and existed 2000 years ago? Are you saying that this Church is fallible, and you are not?
@truthtuube10 жыл бұрын
Jo Gonzales Yes, Jo. In fact, the Catholic church did NOT exist 2000 years ago, it was formed over a period of time beginning with Constantine around 313 A.D. It certainly did NOT begin with Jesus talking to Peter in the infamous misunderstanding in which Jesus supposedly appointed Peter Pope. There is absolutely NO historical evidence that Peter ever even went to Rome but hey, let's not let facts get in the way of a good lie. By the way, saying the Catholic church is fallible is not the same as me saying I'm infallible. Medical science isn't perfect today, but would you rather go to a 3rd century doctor with your brain tumor or one of today's modern clinics, imperfect though they be? I don't have to be perfect to see the glaring historical and doctrinal errors that permeate the Catholic church. Ever hear of Martin Luther?
@pepper7237510 жыл бұрын
truthtuube So you mean, Jesus appointed Luther? Upon Luther He built His Church?

Jo Gonzales Jo, if you can't read the Bible any better than you can read comments here on KZbin, then I do suggest you have someone explain everything to you.
@pepper7237510 жыл бұрын
truthtuube The Bible has a rule warning reader that it is NOT subject to personal interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20. Question! What is the risk one takes in doing that???Answer: Perdition of SOUL! I would rather admit I am ignorant than lose my soul. Goodluck to your private interpretation, you persist on that and may God have mercy on your soul.
