Part of the reason I think lovesick girls was due to the fact that Jennie and Jisoo helped write it, and Jennie composed and produced. Not very often any of them get credit for this.

I really hate the idea of a bias.... why do we have to split this incredibly talented group of women who all have a very particular specialty and unique voice that when all used together in these songs just give you something unexpected and just are everything TOGETHER. I get having a fav and wanting them to be noticed or whatever but if you listen to the girls when they talk about BP and just them all... they all talk about supporting each other and all wanting to be there for each other and succeed together... they’re not trying to be the super star and stand out... they’re happy unified in blackpink... why can’t we respect them the same way?

I've already listened to this album more times than any other album I have ever owned.. I have collected over 30 albums over the years and this is definitely my favourite

1:19 there's a huge controversy around lyrics video/color coded videos by channels like Lemoring, Zathi Farhani and Jaeguchi. To my knowledge they found a way to monetize their video and protect them from the copyright claims that labels can call on their videos by copyrighting the video itself and claiming that a company has the rights for that, others like Lemoring put a song at the end of the video so they can still claim the rights for 50% of the video itself, even if the actual outro is 30 seconds long. This way of doing things is sketchy to me and others as these videos are released just minutes after their official ones and often even have incorrect translations. It's also obvious to me that these videos, since they're not only made for title tracks, are used by kpop followers at large to listen to music instead of having to buy it, so in a way the only consumed product is the song itself and not the video, hence the copyright violation. I've come to know these things thanks to this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWKlp5VqgKh-gqc and this one that narrates the findings in a more understandable way to me at least: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJCnfKmfeZyZh6M . There's still a way to find more honest lyrics video channels and that's to go for ones operated by fans, thus there's a far less chance for them to be monetized and to be incorrect at least. These days all b-sides are automatically generated by youtube in video formats so for the whole purpose of listening to them, if you don't want to or can't buy them there's at least a legal way of doing so, that can be coupled with lyrics sites that often offer a better degree of accuracy in their translations. I fully agree that this is an inconvenient and sometimes even annoying way to do things but at least it's more respectful toward artists. I fully understand that you might not be aware of these things and that's why I'm posting such a long comment, I'm not trying to accuse you of anything. P.S.: it's true that there's a slight chance of me being wrong about this but honestly I firmly believe in what I just wrote.

i respect your opinion and all the other blinks who wants pretty savage to be the title track but i'm really glad they chose lovesick girls to be the title track. i mean hylt is black and ice cream is pink, lovesick girls is a mix of black and pink, + the song is general public friendly (not saying pretty savage isn't) + the first time in a long time they had a vocal chorus + jisoo and jennie participated on making it. idk i just think they made a great decision with everything from this whole album. i don't know about a lot of blinks but it's the perfect title track for me and yeah, pretty savage deserves a music video. :)

10:33 I was worried too because Cardi often is quite harsh in her lyrics, so much that it could be said that's she's at her best when doing so. The song is good overall but such a tamed down Cardi when there are other BP songs where the girls themselves cuss make the collaboration almost unnecessary in my opinion. It's a pity that this song is the only one with real ad-libs and it's the only one where Rosè gets to flex and even then I would have let her go a bit more as there's no climax, it needed that classic flipped belt while singing a "u" vowel to close things out. I admit that it's my least favourite on the album.
