Hi Corrine, interesting video, thankyou for sharing. I to love Sue Spargo her work is so inspiring. I don't know if you have seen any of Ariane Zurcker videos on you tube, she also is a Sue Spargo fan and demonstrates some embroidery technics thinking outside the box, well worth a look I have done a number of quilt courses and have made a few, find them so tedious to make, when I found slow stitching it just lifted my thought process to be free to express myself and to use all those little pieces that had been saved to create something unique. So grateful I have discovered yourself, Anne Brooke, Rachel, Sarah and there are a few more ladies that have given me a lift to create and have allowed me to give myself permission to break the rules and just create and enjoy. . So looking forward to this year, enjoy your day 🌹🌹🌹

I love Tilly Rose! Of course. And I have the embroidered flowers. I have a couple of bobbins. I am going to play with my embellisher and make some of the background fabric for one of the bobbins. My main aim this year is to stay well!! I found a great source of sari silk - a runner made for the floor deconstructed. I spent a year learning how to do ribbon embroidery. I like it but not enormously. I took a class with Anne Kelly. She was great! Great video. Thank you 🥰

Hi Corrine, me again, totally agree with you about the embroidery book you have been speaking about, I purchased it a little while ago and it is absolutely fantastic. The A-Z embroidery books are great to and can recommend A-Z Ribbon embroidery. Just so excited about up the garden path with Rachel and Sarah so many possibilities and think we all need to challenge ourselves still so much to learn 😊

Well I've watched this video twice, took note and made potential book choices in my 'save for later' file. I have 2 birthdays to shop for January and February, so I will have to wait for my turn. (Pssst. My birthday is in May.) So my really big gift for Christmas was a large box of old fabrics, buttons from my late Grandmother, unusual beads, whole bag of lingerie fixes, including silk threads for mending silk stockings! And more. What a treasure!

A very generous Santa indeed! Lovely to see some of what you’ll be looking to for inspiration for our next Roxy project. Between swims at the beach, I’m enjoying some leisurely sorting of my craft room to put away the Christmas fabrics and papers and get ready for the year’s projects starting with Down the Garden Path and Junk Journal January. You’ve inspired me to share some of my inspiration books in a video too - mine are older and from the op shop/brotherhood books but you’re right when you say all the ideas go around and come back again.

If you get the chance to listen to the Fiber Talk podcast they have a chat to Jennifer Clouston about her stitching prior to the release of the flower embroidery book. I bought my copy recently and have been stitching some samples over the Christmas break. She lives in Australia and does teach classes but I'm not sure if she is near you. Belated Christmas greetings and happy stitching for 2023 from the U.K.

well what more can one want, a coffee and to sit back and watch you planning, talking about stitching and books, oh books, love em but what I do to avoid disappointment is get the books from the library and then decide which ones to buy. Now to settle back and watch what goodies Mr S bought you. Hope you had a lovely Christmas and get a nice break before the planning for 2023 begins in earnest 😀😁😁Glad to hear you're doing down the garden path. I'm in a place where I can join in from the beginning this time round so will be following and stitching along too, can't wait to see what you come up with. Just getting to the end of the video now and omg william morris another huge fan here. If you've not heard of a lady called Michelle Hill you must check her out, another Aussie from SA this time and she has a couple of books she has written based on William Morris and they are appliques. I have them and one day plan on doing something
