Glenn, love the way you take a photo and turn it to something 3D. Your ability to take your vision and create it is amazing.

Definitely a refreshing approach to posting shorts. There are music; have been fast forward advances; and varying medias. But Mr. Bartolotti has captivated his audience with concise explanation of the design~idea~build~modeling~recycling an award winning diorama. Amazing and Fantastic product!!! I prefer to buy ruins prime and paint miniatures from "Box Art" because I lack his creative ingenuity, but his tapings of these steps shares "Positive Can Do Strengths" please keep posting these KZbin Shorts!!!!

Hello Glenn. What a joy to watch an artist's passion and excitement unfold before us as we wait with anticapation to see your creativety take form. You lead us step by step as a reference picture magically materializes into a ruin of stone and rubble. Your artistic license has captured another tragic moment in time bearing witness to the destructive nature of war. You show us with your unassuming ways how to utilise basic tools and materials to achieve a desired effect. The material you used to create rubble is quite innovative. The way you surrounded the figures with fallen debris cleverly showcases how the Germans, amidst the rubble of the ruined Abbey defended against the Allies. Also, how you positioned those fallschirmjager looks fairly close to the figures in the reference photo. Very nice job with the wrought iron above the entrance as well. Thanks again for sharing wih us and leading us along your creative path to another work of art. Best wishes for 2024 and looking forward to your next episode.

Great start so far, really looking forward to seeing you complete this project. I am in awe of your scratch building abilities as you are really talented. BTW the object you scratch built & described as perhaps an altar in the background reminds me a bit of a kinda like fireplace surround 🤔 Keep up the good work.

You and me both! Yeah you’re right it does kind of look like that. It’s really cool to try to understand what’s going on in some of these photos that are so old. Thanks for your comments and stay tuned.

Looking great Glenn! Appreciate the time lapses over jump cuts. Some portions I watch at 25% speed to get a better look. I'm assuming that gate arch fought you a bit since it was such a quick jump cut. But the arch came out fantastic.

Marvelous work , Glenn ! You're an inspiration ... I am planning some Cassino dioramas down the road myself , I love the fallschirmjager legacy , having been a para myself in a past life ... I have also run into scale disparities between manufacturers , particularly in 54mm figure scale ... that can be frustrating as I am not much into scratch building ... I have a pile of Hornet heads as well that I hope will not be incompatible with different figures in future ... thanks for sharing your work !

How are you doing the stonework on the walls. Not sure what tools you are using to get the effect.
@ArmorModelsbyGlennBartolotti Жыл бұрын
Just simple tools that I make check out the video custom-made 1/35 scale building with three figures… I explain in that one and show the tools probably better. Thanks for your comment!

Nice Diorama, but the German paratroopers respected the protected status of the abbey and never took positions inside during the Battle of Monte Cassino until after it was destroyed by Allied bombs.

It’s correct after the allies bomb the Abbey. The Germans did occupy once it was in rubble.
