I am so happy I ran across ur tutorials. I am a crocheter from a kid. I dropped it for years and years and am now back. It really calms my nerves. EXCEPT THIS HAT !! LOL I am having the hardest time understanding and doing the first of the upside down V I think u called it. I’m of course not going to stop until I get it , but I am wearing this rewind button out !! 😂. I have to say years ago searching for a tutorial with clear and concise instructions and detail yours are the best and I wish they were around when I truly needed them. I love how your Beanie turned out! I for some reason cannot make a nice treble crochet even though i have benn cricheting for almost 20 years. They always look sloppy and I generally stay away from patterns that call for treble crochet. I did try this Beanie. Mine did not turn out like yours (all my own fault lol) I just don't understand why I cannot make a treble crochet.

I've never made a hat, and I ssoo wanted to try this one! BUT I've tried and frogged three times, now, with two different yarns and three different hooks...and I keep getting a lovely textured DOILY, but nothing hat-shapped. What am I doing wrong?
