Thanks dude I was looking for the engine wiring harness diagram to figure out where I put the sensors for the engine wiring harness in for my vehicle since a back fire happened due to clogged fuel injectors and burned the engine harness. Among a few other parts though yeah lots of work lol

Can u put a 2014 engine in a 2013 ? It says there not interchangeable

Question! (and thanks for the very helpful vids......) Where did you connect your chain for the engine hoist on the back end of the motor (transmission end)?? The front location is obvious, but none of your video shots show rear connection location. I just can't find a spot to screw in a bolt! I'm getting ready to pull my motor and was actually considering connecting to the exhaust ports on each side of the engine with some pieces of flat plate that I'd fabbed up, but I'm concerned I may run into clearance problems with the fire wall. I'd really appreciate a response. And thanks again for the vids, VERY HELPFUL!

I’m glad you found the video helpful! As you can see I had to use a tie down strap on this motor. There is not a lot of places to hook onto. So I just ran a bolt where the bracket is for the intake through the hook of the tie down with a washer on it. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck!

@@csautomotive12 The motor is out. I lifted from the exhaust ports, just enough clearance with the upper intake removed. Went fairly smooth, considering I don't have a lift and the vehicle is up on jacks. I removed the exhaust back to the resonator. Gave me a ton of access to back of motor from underneath. Replacement motor is ready and waiting... Question... Do you consider yourself expert on this particular job / Dodge Grand Caravans? Do you do consulting??? I have a couple of questions about replacement motor that I'm installing and would certainly compensate you; Paypal, Venmo, whatever, for your time.

@@csautomotive12 My Grand Caravan is a 2011. My replacement motor is from a 2013 Grand Caravan. Everything and everybody on the internet says the 2013 should be a direct replacement. (VIN, fifth digit "G") Physically the motors appear identical. HOWEVER, as I was pulling the wiring harness it became apparent that Dodge used a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ECM (engine control module) in the 2013, with vastly different connectors. That said, all of the electronics on the two motors appear identical. So I'm hoping I can just swap the original wiring harness to the replacement motor. Do you see any issues with that? Again, if this takes any effort on your part, I'd be more than happy to compensate you. Thanks.

@@dewittyerselferI’m pretty sure it will work. You always want to use the harness from your car. I made the mistake once on a Jeep by using the harness that came with the junk yard motor and it didn’t work so I had to drop it all down again and change the harness. You could also call a junk yard and just make sure it will work. I looked on car part and they say it should work on there site. Just make sure the heads are the same from year to year.
