I am new to your channel as well as rabbits. We added 4 does and a buck to our homestead of pigs, goats, chickens, ducks geese and quail this spring and have finally reach appropriate age/weight to begin breeding. As a source of meat, we decide to go with Californians and New Zealands. Our only buck is a healthy 8 mo old Californian. I also have a 1yr old Californian doe and 3 New Zealand does ranging from 8mo to 1yr. I gained so much knowledge from this video and am so excited to watch and learn more from you!! Thank you for breeding responsibly and for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us to ensure we become responsible breeders as well!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I have just bought 3 English Angoras (1buck 5 months old, 2 does 10 weeks old) and I’m trying to learn all I can about breeding them before they are old enough to start trying. I wish that I had a grown up 4 H program that would lead me and teach me. I want to be a good and responsible breeder. Ps. I also copied your hutch set up. KW cages and had some guys build the hutch to hold them. So much better than cleaning trays everyday. With the angora wool they absolutely need to be in wire bottom cages. Very helpful video!!

I have had Silver Fox Rabbits for 3 years. Best I have ever had. Been raising rabbits for 30 years and they have been the most docile, calm rabbits. I purchased 2 does 7 months old with pedigrees yesterday. The breeder said they are ready to breed but I told her I will wait 2 months. They seem very small to me. Dont have a scale to weigh them. Eyes and coat look healthy. I checked to be sure they were does b4 purchase. I am concerned about their small size.

Truly enjoyed watching your video. Informative and well done. One of the best I have seen out of many I have watched. Wish I had found you first. Your handling of the rabbits encouraged me to engage more with my own. As I am just getting started (2 weeks in) and have a 9 mo old Satin doe who charges and bites. She has gotten much, much better but forces me to be slightly fearful and constantly on guard with her. We are both having to learn to trust one another which is developing slowly. I haven't attempted to hold any of my 6 other rabbits due to the experiences I have had with her. Thank you for sharing!
