Wendy is clearly the best out of everyone that covered this song. Everyone else were either short of breath and/or their techniques were nowhere near Wendy or Taeyeon’s. IU, Punch and Lynn incorporated their styles but I don’t know if they’re a good match. Taeyeon and Wendy have this thickness(?) to their voices regardless of how high the notes they have to hit. I think that’s a unique advantage

There's something about that third line until the end of the chorus that makes it so hard to replicate and Taeyeon did it even better in the live performance (that crescendo was an eargasm), plus the volume control this song requires skill. For me Wendy, Punch and Chaewon did well

My thoughts IU - i was shocked! She's kind of having a hard time(?) I thought it would fit her well but it didn't. She still did great though. Punch - sang the song so well with little difficulty. Eunji - I did like her rendition. Pretty surevif she's singing this professionally, she would sound even better. Wendy - wow just wow! Maybe this is because its SM training? I remember the days when red velvet is still not introduce and SM labelled Seulgi as 2nd Taeyeon but Seulgi was a lead vocals and Wendy was actually the main vocals.. i can see why... She's really talented! She sang this song so well. Just like Eunji, she might be able to do well if this is on a stage. Hyunjin - aw a cutie and just jamming with the song. Yeoreum and Dawon - amazing but its to high (?) But over all still good Wonpil - i LOVE his rendition! Yooa and seunghee - yooa is kind of nasally (?) But well executed and seunghee did so well as well. Seola and soobin - it lacked volume in my opinion but over all a good performance still. Lyn - she made it her own but she sounded like she's having difficulty idk but it sounded so sad. Seungsik - wow.. just wow! I love it! Didn't even know this guy but he has a good voice Miyeon - to pitchy but still a good performance. Gyuri - oh i love her and she did so well in her own rendition. Mia - she lacks emotions for this song and pitchy as well. Doyoung - what can SM not do?!! He's not even the main main vocal of NCT but he's so good! STAN NCT! Eunwoo - that was a good performance from her Seuryoung - i can see she is in her element. Seunghun - why does male vocalists did so well in this song?!?! Jiwoo - she's just jamming along with the song.. pretty sure she's a good singer. Yuju - not sure if its because its acapella but quite disappointed (?) With this.. i know she can do better than that. Minseok - this song suits male vocals so well. Elkie - such a cute rendition from her. Bora - not sure if its the mic and background sound but im 50-50 in her performance. Woojin - again with the male vocalist. Ugh.. Chaewon - she did so good! I miss april even though im not much of a fan... Fvck DSP really! Sohee - nasally but still well executed. Binnie - she's jamming. Byungchan - this cutie was not able to showcase his vocals in pdx that much and on this video. Jin - yes girl! Love it! Donghun - the voice and the harmony from his members.. I LOVE IT! Haebin - a cute cover.

When seulgi was labelled as 2nd taeyeon, wendy didnt even become sm trainee yet. She trained less then 2 years and debut right away even when she had a vocal nodule that time. Shes has been a great singer since forever. Its nothing to do with her getting a great vocal trainer. She is a main vocal for a reason.
