I remember when those were new. That was the “it” car to have back then, especially the Turbo model. The 300’s came out for 1984. Back when Nissan ruled. Now, they may be going under.

I can see why you are like a kid with the best toy ever for christmas. I have always loved the old nissans. Over here in australia we had them as datsuns and nissans and that styling is gorgeous. Even better is the gloss black with gold stripes. I always loved the smokey and the bandit trans ams because of that colour combo. Bob, that zee is one sweet machine! I think you will keep that one forever. Edit.. that instrument cluster is pure heaven. 😍

In 1993 I bought a 1984 Mazda 626 Luxury Touring Sedan (hatchback, 5spd) Reminds me a lot of this car. Lots of electronic gadgets. As it was nine years old, the electronically controlled shocks were shot and rode like a lumber wagon. Radio CD had more switches and buttons than an analog computer. It did not have a digital dash, but my 1985 Dodge Lancer ES I owned earlier did. Love these in 80's sports cars

Love a Z!! My first car was 75 280Z. My dad special ordered a 79 280ZX 2+2 and drove it for about a year when he lost a race with a deer and totaled it. He went back to driving a pickup afterwards. Love a Z !!!

This edition was the best of that body style and looks SO MUCH BETTER IN PERSON! The small details are everywhere on these. I am simply stunned to see one in such spectacular condition. The '84 was so much more stylish and futuristic that I didn't appreciate how good the '83 was. I never heard the computer voice, not had I seen all the gadgets associated with this vehicle. My brother owned an '85 and it was a blast to take out in the mountains. The clutch was so smooth on it that you had no problem starting it in third gear--many a young lady learned to drive manual vehicles in that machine and all these old memories come flooding back when I see the cars you showcase! Thanks for sharing your passion with the rest of us and for the ensuing nostalgia that makes me feel 12 again!

These were truly so far ahead of there time cars in the 80s. My dad brought home either a 82 or 83 home as a bank repo and we had it for the weekend and remember laying in the hatch back just so we could take the car to dinner and just being amazed at that dash and stereo. It was silver out and black and silver interior they just had great paint and interior choices avail for these cars . I wish the new z would have a actual z badge on the hood like all the z's did instead of Nissan yes we know and if u don't know whom produces them then perhaps you should not own one pls Nissan put a z on the hood . Parents later bought a 85 turbo coupe white on red leather. Digital dash t tops hot car and fast . The 2 yrs later a 86 2 plus 2 white on red velour also sharp car less the digital dash but still fun.. if they brought the current z back with t tops I'd be at the dealer tomorrow . Bob I hope it's has had it's fluids flushed oil trans and brake and coolant that's a long trip..

If you carry large amounts of cash through the airport, they can just take your money with any unproven accusation and you have to sue them to get it back which will be costly. I'd advise withdrawing money from a local bank near the destination to avoid the risk of this. Even police on the highway can do the same to you.

Watch out for civil asset forfeiture. All they have to say is "this money could be the proceeds of illegal activities we must take it and keep it." and it will be gone.
