Steve, these people were amazingly well educated despite the levels they were branded and a lot smarter than the colonisers, and that included your own father Sir Ignatius, and the leaders of Sir Michael's ere. Sir Michael was a tough nut to crack, and soon after, he gained self-determination for a new nation. God bless our forefather.

Thanks for this interview. I had the great privilege to meet Grand Chief Sir Michael a few years ago. He and his generation of first leaders were an impressive bunch. I hope his dream of a prosperous untied PNG comes true. It's magnificent country with a promising future.
