One word excellent. Takes me back to the days when I work on British Rail in 1974 working on the Preston to Glasgow electfication project as a labourer. We had our own train we lived on moving down the line as we worked fantastic crew of manly Irish lads we were out every night on the lash the good old times. Beer woman & music. Spent all me live working the Railway after meeting the wife in Glasgow we came to London where I joined London Transport till I retired.

Started to love Irish folk music thanks to my dad who lived in Rosslare and Castlebridge while he worked for an Irish transport company. Mom, my younger brother and I remained in the Netherlands. During the holiday season we'd travel to Ireland to spend Christmas and new year's eve as a family. In Holland I played dad's cassette tapes of the Dubliners and Davey Arthur and The Fureys till I could sing along all the songs. In the past we've seen them play live a couple of times I'm grateful for that. Now 35 years later I am still enjoying their music and often play their concerts thanks to KZbin and Spotify. Their music will never fade they've left a legacy that will last forever ❤

As a Scotsman, there's something about Irish music that hits the heart. We have beautiful gaidhlig music, and of course our national treasure, The Corries. But it's not as ubiquitous as Irish music.
