Since 1962, The Dubliners have been enthralling audiences worldwide with their music and song. The strength and attractiveness of The Dubliners has always been in the personalities of the musicians who have made up this boisterous band of balladeers, from original members, Ronnie Drew, Barney McKenna, Luke Kelly, Ciarán Bourke, John Sheahan and Bob Lynch to the arrival at different stages of Jim McCann, Seán Cannon, Eamonn Campbell and finally the peerless Paddy Reilly.

One word excellent. Takes me back to the days when I work on British Rail in 1974 working on the Preston to Glasgow electfication project as a labourer. We had our own train we lived on moving down the line as we worked fantastic crew of manly Irish lads we were out every night on the lash the good old times. Beer woman & music. Spent all me live working the Railway after meeting the wife in Glasgow we came to London where I joined London Transport till I retired.

Started to love Irish folk music thanks to my dad who lived in Rosslare and Castlebridge while he worked for an Irish transport company. Mom, my younger brother and I remained in the Netherlands. During the holiday season we'd travel to Ireland to spend Christmas and new year's eve as a family. In Holland I played dad's cassette tapes of the Dubliners and Davey Arthur and The Fureys till I could sing along all the songs. In the past we've seen them play live a couple of times I'm grateful for that. Now 35 years later I am still enjoying their music and often play their concerts thanks to KZbin and Spotify. Their music will never fade they've left a legacy that will last forever ❤

As a Scotsman, there's something about Irish music that hits the heart. We have beautiful gaidhlig music, and of course our national treasure, The Corries. But it's not as ubiquitous as Irish music. What a brilliant and unique band. I followed them since 1989, I was 10 years old. Complete underrated was John‘s fiddle play. Made all the songs unique. Sean‘s shyness is also very respectful. When Jim and Ronnie are coming on stage, he goes a step back although he was the „leader“ st this time.

Im 34 and discovered my roots lie in Ireland. This music speaks to me on the deepest level possible. These guys are the reason at 34 I picked up the fiddle and started learning. Love them forever. Thanks for the concert.

Only a wee bit Irish from my maternal grandmother’s maternal grandparents but as I have slowed to enjoy life, seasons, foods, music & my ethnic heritage. Tying all of those together, adding these men to my listening times have added pleasure, relaxation, curiosity and the quality of my life. Thank You, Dubliners, for adding to my life.

Speriamo che un giorno invitino i Dubliners come ospiti al Festival di Sanremo. Sarebbe bellissimo che cantassero The Fields of Anthery all'Ariston. I hope RAI (Italian national television) invites The Dubliners in Sanremo Festival, the greatest musical show in Italy. I would like a lot they sing The Fields of Athenry in Sanremo theatre (called Ariston). Greetings from Italy, Ireland in my heart!

Unfortunately, they will never play for you at the Sanremo Festival. Apart from one, they have all died, but will never be forgotten. 🙂
