all of the originals are gone. I started listening to them in the late 60's. My mother saw them in Ireland and purchased an album "Live from Albert Hall". I played the grooves of it. Took me forever to understand them. A kid from Missouri had no exposure to an Irish accent. Rest in Peace my dear band.

John is as good as original. Id say he's on their first recordings am I correct. And probably the most important factor to the band in my opinion.

Somebody please give The Dubliners a second live on KZbin. They are one of the best and humoristic (lyrics) bands on earth. Please boost these everlasting musicians.

Great gig ,it was June 2002,a lovely summers night in Dublin ,great Summer of sport for the Irish team in Japan and the return of the Dubs in lLeinster, unfortunately we will never see the likes of The Dubliners again sadly they represented something that is gone forever in Ireland.and it only took 20 years.let the music keep your spirits high.

I went to see the Dublin Legends 2 days ago in Hamburg, Germany. Seán Cannon is still going strong and the band had a great performance with great resonance in the hall. I am forever saddened that I never had the chance to see The Dubliners perform live, but seeing the Dublin Legends eased that pain, it was truely a great and remarkable performance and I'm so happy that I went there. Best music ever.

Hi Its terrible these days as regards Irish live Music in Bars I'm from Dublin now I live in the west of Ireland and I long for the old days when you could walk into a Bar in Galway and find a group of players jijing and reeling then 4 Songs and then tradisional all night ,, its all gone since Tony Blair's good friday agreement part of that deal was to faze out the singing of old ballads with anti british sentiments and patriotic lyrics .. now over here the small towns are in there houses watching tv at 10:30 pm.. most of the bars are closed down , and the live music is only tradisional these days.

My father was born in Dublin in 1987, Trinity College and captain of Landsdown, but i have only once been to Ireland - Dublin with a Horse Show and County Kerry for the fishing. I was married in 1963 and have five grandchildren and cousins in Australia who might be interested. Subtitles are misleading to say the least.
