Shaikha Haifa I am a student in medical field and I always like when u correlate with examples from your work expertise. Every word you have said regarding love of Quran I have felt it and yes shetan made me lazy during this but every time i have fallen down by becoming lazy Allah gave me strength to stand up again… im on a journey of falling and getting up over and over again and each time i get up I feel more connected to Allah. Now Quran is part of my life everyday, in a way I comprehend and correlate it with my daily life situations. I dont know how I am able to do this. عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَصَابَ أَحَدًا قَطُّ هَمٌّ وَلَا حَزَنٌ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَابْنُ عَبْدِكَ وَابْنُ أَمَتِكَ نَاصِيَتِي بِيَدِكَ مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِي كِتَابِكَ أَوْ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِيعَ قَلْبِي وَنُورَ صَدْرِي وَجِلَاءَ حُزْنِي وَذَهَابَ هَمِّي إِلَّا أَذْهَبَ اللَّهُ هَمَّهُ وَحُزْنَهُ وَأَبْدَلَهُ مَكَانَهُ فَرَجًا قَالَ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا نَتَعَلَّمُهَا فَقَالَ بَلَى يَنْبَغِي لِمَنْ سَمِعَهَا أَنْ يَتَعَلَّمَهَا Ibn Mas’ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If any Muslim is afflicted with distress and makes this supplication, then his supplication will be answered: O Allah, I am your servant, the son of your servant, the son of your maidservant. My forelock is in your hand, your command concerning me prevails, and your decision concerning me is just. I call upon you by every one of the beautiful names with which you have described yourself, or which you have revealed in your Book, or you have taught to any of your creatures, or which you have chosen to keep in the knowledge of the unseen with you, to make the Quran the delight of my soul, the light of my heart, and to remove my sadness and dispel my anxiety.” The Prophet said, “If he says this, Allah will remove his affliction and replace it with joy and happiness.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, should we not learn it?” The Prophet said, “Yes, whoever hears it should know it.”

مَاضٍ فِيَّ حُكْمُكَ، عَدْلٌ فِيَّ قَضَاؤُكَ، أَسْأَلُكَ بِكُلِّ اسْمٍ هُوَ لَكَ سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ، أَوْ أَنْزَلْتَهُ فِي كِتَابِكَ، أَوْ عَلَّمْتَهُ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِكَ، أَوِ اسْتَأْثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ الْغَيْبِ عِنْدَكَ، أَنْ تَجْعَلَ الْقُرْآنَ رَبِيعَ قَلْبِي، وَنُورَ صَدْرِي، وَجَلَاءَ حُزْنِي، وَذَهَابَ هَمِّي The Transliteration: Allahumma innii ‘abduka wa ibnu ‘abdika wa ibnu amatika, naaswiyatii biyadika, maadhin fiyya hukmuka ‘adlun fiyya qadhaa’uka. As’aluka bikulli ismi huwa laka sammayta bihi nafsaka aw anlamtahu ahadan min khalqika aw anzaltahu fii kitaabika aw asta’tsarta bihi fiyya ‘ilmi al-ghaybi ‘indaka an taj’ala al-Qur’an rabbii’a qalbii wa nuura swadrii wa jilaa’a huznii wa duhaaba hammii The Translation: “Oh Allah! Indeed I am Your servant Son of Your male servant and female servant My forelock is in Your Hand (i.e. You have control over me) And Your Judgment upon me is assured, and Your Decree upon me is just I ask you with every name that You have named Yourself with Or revealed in Your Book (Quran), or taught to any of Your creation Or kept with Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen that is with You that you make the Quran the life of my heart, and the light of my chest and the banisher of my sadness and the reliever of my distress.” [Reported by Ahmad in his Musnad on the authority of Abdullah bin Mas’ood رضي الله عنه]
