Granddaddy would be so proud! The narrator is my favorite kind of teacher: knows what he will do, explains clearly, displays while teaching ... and has a sense of humor... and sensitive to what farmers 60 years ago had to use for repairs. Great!

I like these videos because of the voice over, very clear description of what you are doing. I am working on the same year and model truck so it’s cool to see someone restoring one that has sentimental value. I’m just putting mine on a late model Lincoln town car.

Hey JOT. Nice video. It looks like you have a plan and you are sticking to it. I have a plan as well. I go out to my stop and sit down and think "What should I do today" I finish my coffee start on whatever comes into my head. 😉 Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍

Andy ... thanks for the great comments! I just visited the Dog House and watched you attach your new snowblower to the tractor. Very nice! Well, I have a plan but many times I also just go sit in the shop and drink coffee! After all, being retired means you don't have to feel guilty doing that! Thanks for watching!

We also have a 1960 f 100 short wide bed and we got lucky that it has minimal rust and we have it running and got the clutch working and now we will get the brakes working next as soon as the winter is over. As for your format of your video's we like the way you do it but we are in our 60 s so it works for us.

Very good videos! I am in the process of restoring my grandfathers 1960 Ford F-100 223 L6 as well. I just removed the fuel tank, and I would be interested in hearing where you plan to move the fuel tank to? Thanks!
@JOTsShop3 жыл бұрын
Appreciate the feedback! We'll probably get a new fuel tank that will sit between the frame rails. That will be a much safer situation. Good luck with your restoration. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

I like the videos exactly how you produce them well done. The only thing I might add is statists about the truck itself like what size the brake drums and the gear ratios in the transmission and axle for example.

When you take off the bed, install a fuel cell or tank under the bed. I believe the 67 mustang fuel tank is popular with fridge owners. I have a 16 gallon Jaz fuel cell under mine.

The detail on removal, disassembly and reinstallation for each part/system is great. You have come a long way since my visit last February with Dino Schweitzer. Keep the videos coming...very interesting to follow your progress. One question is why are you not painting external parts after cleaning and before reassembly? Is your plan to leave as is or to disassemble again for detailing? Carl Springer
@JOTsShop3 жыл бұрын
Carl ... Good to hear from you! Thanks for the feedback. We're not really sure yet about reassembly ... If we'll leave parts as is or not. We are still disassembling much of it ... Truck bed is next! Thanks for commenting and watching!

@@JOTsShop Once you get the bed and cab off the frame....you'll have the itch to paint the frame before replacing springs, shocks, brakes and steering parts. Once you do that the rest will follow...just guessing!

I can't stress how important and how tight that copper washer between the master cylinder and the brake switch is and needs to be. Otherwise spraying brake fluid will ruin your freshly painted engine parts.
