Do not ever ever ever ever put silicone on headphones, use the old black Permatex form a gasket, or Hi-tack, the sealers will not get hard they will stay pliable but gasoline oil and water will not erode or wash away. When you put silicone on the end of the head bolt time you get finished dickin around putting in the bolts the silicone starts to set up, then when you go back and forth and torque them every time you move that bolt it breaks the silicone.

@@sherwinstaudt1881 I guess that makes sense but I’ve never had that issue before. I have also used plumbers pipe dope and liquid Teflon to seal the bolts before
