Your instructions and video are very clear and very well done. A+ job. The toughest part of the job for me was releasing the rad from the power steering line brackets. I fought with the first one for a long time before I finally managed to get it released. When I moved to the other one I decided to take a 2nd look at the bumper. On my 2008, there are plastic inserts at the bottom corners of the bumper. They are secured with simple tabs, so they come right out. When removed you can reach in freely with pliers and access the power steering bracket with zero hassle.

he rocks. also, rad is a common break in these mopar minivans so if you have one for 4 plus years you will probably replace one if the van really gets used. MC dude kept me from screwing it up since he is methodical and articulate.

Probably one of the best step by step tutorials I've seen on KZbin. Worked like a charm on my 2010 dodge caravan. Hardest part was releasing those 2 lower tabs that hold that power steering line (but he even said that could be some trouble) saved me a ton of $. Thanks for the great video

Excellent video series! I'm a very competent "shade tree" mechanic when it comes to working on my own cars, but I'm sure it would have been a frustrating job had I not watched this video first. The advice on the clips for the power steering line was the one I benefited most from, I guess, in that I would not have anticipated that little set of clips. As it was, I completed the whole job in about 45 minuets or so (plus the video time). Thank You!!! You have made my day a little brighter.

Did this job today on my 2017 Grand Caravan. Also changed the upper and lower hoses. Those squeeze tabs must make a engineer smile every time they see one of these videos. The bottom power steering line was a pain but finally got them from the bottom with the car lifted. Also went out and bought a hose clamp ratchet tool, those things are sweet. Got the clamps off with channel locks but needed the tool to get the new hoses back on. Those rubber air scopes or whatever they are, hope they arent that important 😂. It was hot and I couldnt get those to stay back on. Filled her up, bled the stat housing and badda bing we back in business. Thank you for your videos.

Great video, good detail and explaining the connectors for the fan as well as the other connectors and how they work! I replaced a radiator on a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. Taking off the front bumper I recommend which makes accessing the lower power steering line snap brace much easier to get to. Thanks!

Great job, bro! I really enjoyed this... I actually just got done doing this job on a 2013 Town and Country and they're ALMOST exact. The hoses are a tad different and the engine takes up a lot more space in that compartment. For anyone with a newer vehicle, just be advised that you'll have a little harder time getting to the fan motor connector. This is necessary to remove because there's very little flex in the wiring harness to the fan!

Great instructions. Comprehensive, in order, and fantastic camera placement. So many videos have horrible shots of the work space and it makes it hard to determine what you are looking at. Not this one! My son and I replaced the radiator in about 3 hours. Tip: connect some extra hose to the radiator drain spigot prior to draining. You can keep the mess down to a minimum. We ended up using a small hose clamp on the radiator overfill outlet since it was weeping a bit. Finally, I purchased our radiator from Amazon. Huge savings over retail. If you can wait a couple of days, I'd recommend this.

Great video. Yes as others have said, the power steering tabs were the biggest pain. But very manageable with the detailed guidance. After doing some minor work on my own truck, and wife's car, and replacing the rad for daughter (this video). I have to say I prefer working on a race car. OEM vehicles require a much greater understanding of the various clips, attachment points, and condensed packaging. I am pretty sure I would have added another hour to the rad replacement time without the how-to tutorial. Thanks again for taking the time to create and post these videos.

Found this to be a very helpful video. Found a leak in the radiator of our 2010 Grand Caravan last week. Used this video to complete the install of a new radiator, upper/lower hoses, and thermostat and completed the entire job in about 4-4.5 hours (van has >135K miles, so figured it was best to replace those extra items while the cooling system was basically empty). Had a couple of hiccups, and a few moments of colorful linguistics, but ultimately, this video allowed me to complete the job and save a considerable amount of money. Thank you! The hardest parts, for me, was being able to visualize the clips for the power steering lines (4:40 in this video), and also pulling the old radiator out. It seems that the feet that the radiator rests on have a bit of a snug fit. Pulling on it seemed like it was going to break something, but a little persistence and great care allowed it to be removed. Once it broke loose, it came right out.

Really great instructions. I did struggle hard getting the lower radiator mounts disconnected from the power steering line brackets. Finally did by getting a really long screwdriver through the front grill of the van and was able to compress the clip and push it through the bracket. This video was extremely helpful. I think getting to the power steering line clips is easier if you lift and tilt back the radiator before attempting it. I didn't do this myself, but figured this out during reinstall.

Appreciate David! Another project done with your instruction! This video is well applied to the Routan brother. Routan has the higher steering line. I was not able to see the squeeze lock. But it is not difficult to remove it. After some blind trial, it released and installed easily. Just some luck and trial. I spent much time to lift the AC condenser from radiator on the passenger side. Probably the condenser line interfered it. Got some trouble to put the clamp back on the lower radiator hose and some WD40 saved my day. Hopefully it won't cause any leak down the road. Mopar parts is so expensive and I went to a cheap one. Guess I made a few hundreds in 3 hours.

Thank you so much for this video! Replaced my radiator today and don't think I would have succeeded without it! The clips under the radiator that hold the one cooling tube that goes across (power steering?) proved most difficult to unclip. Tried for a while and finally pulled the bumper half off so I could see what the heck was happening. The rest went well. Probably saved several hundred dollars. Thanks!

Thanks for the geat detail. carmax replaced my radiator and didn't snap the steering cooler line on the passenger side fully causing a horrible rattle that I have been chasing. Your video also helped me fix it with a simple snap after moving front grill. Thank you!

Thank you for a very informative and helpful video. I did find some extra challenges when removing the Radiator today from my 2016 Grand Caravan. FIY, my Caravan's Air Conditioning system has never been worked on before and I discovered that Dodge decided to put a different coolant line in the 2016 Model vehicle that extends (bends around and loops over the back of the Passenger's side of the radiator). Because of this change the Radiator doesn't want to lift out while in close contact with that Air Conditioning Coolant Line. I had to try different ways to try to position and rotate the Radiator and Condenser so I could clear that Coolant Line and the Wiring Harness that feeds the Radiator Temperature Sensor (near the fill neck) and the Cooling Fan. I found it necessary to remove the harness hold down Christmas Tree strap to the right of the Overflow Reservoir (when viewing from the front) so I could pull the harness out of the way so the Driver's Side of the Radiator had a wide enough path for me to navigate it through the opening between the A/C line and that harness. Because Dodge used a different A/C Cooling Line than the one you showed in your video I think it would be helpful if you made a supplementary Part 3 video to show how to clear (Navigate around) that A/C Coolant Line. I say that because I did some damage to the fins of my Condenser in the process of trying to figure out a way to pull the Radiator up past the aforementioned extra obstacles.

Followed this exactly and worked great for my 2015 sxt flex fuel. The only adjustments I made was to 1. remove the top bracket before removing fan. I couldn't get to the second wire harness because it's very tight space compared to the video. Some bolts were rusted and a few clips broke but was able to get them off and found replacements at oreilly luckily. 2. Struggled hard to pinch the lower fastners as I had that line running on the bottom like in the video. I ended up removing the passenger front tire and it gave me plenty of room to go underneath and pinch off. 3. I had so much trouble on the bottom clips that I decided to just remove the bumper. Was extremely easy and made the reinstalling process way easier. Wish I did that in the beginning, it was worth the effort and I highly recommend. I did have to buy a few plastic tree fasteners cuz I broke two while taking the bumper off, but worth the $3 for the time it saved me and I could have saved them if I took my time. Thanks for the video! Saved me tons of money from taking it in.

Thank you. My new radiator should arrive next Thursday. I hope to have the old one out and the bay cleaned up by then. Plan to install new radiator this coming Friday. After viewing your video, it does not seem to be the BIG job I thought it was when I was advised the job at my regular shop would be $800.00. The radiator is $90.81 and I may spend $50-$100 more for antifreeze and stuff. The only thing is the weather is really hot now and we are looking for a bunch of rain this coming week. Will be doing this in a two-car carport with extra lighting and a fan. I am ready now to get started. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the clear, clean video!
