72 or 73 ? The confusion may be because different markets had slightly different models . American , British and European bikes had suttle differences. Also not all models are available in all markets. Cheers.

I bought a 1970 A7 Avenger SS which was quicker and faster than the later 3 cylinder. They were everywhere on the tracks back then.

That looks more like a 73!?!. The 72 didnt have that paint color or front disc brakes? And the engine covers were’t polished on the sides in 72.. still a beautiful bike!! I have one just like it in my garage👍🏻😀🇺🇸

I believe the 72 had a front painted fender also.. 73 was chrome..

Thankyou I’ll get the V5 out and have a look I am sure it will be a 73, it must if been the DT400 I had that was a 72, thx for posting 😊

👍🏻😀🇺🇸. Love those dt’s also!! I have a 73 dt250 ,dark green. All the classic 2 strokes, street and dirt, are some of the most beautiful bikes out there!!
