This is definately not what teaching looks like where I taught. Administrators are not in tune with whole brain growth of children. Love this.

Thank you for the encouraging comments- I really wasn't sure what the end goal of video segments would turn out to be. Ms. Strickland is brilliant and Sandra Levine produced quite a great series and I felt honored to work with such a dedicated, compassionate professional and caring woman. I agree that it should be promoted more by DOE in NJ. :-).

At college but we were introduced to centers (about a decade or more ago) our classrooms cannot physically accommodate that set up. I would love to have a communal area for my morning session and story time. Of course no space for that nor centers. I have to create my own manipulatives (which I do) or purchase items on amazon and pay a hefty shipping cost that sometimes comes up more than the item.

This was in 2011 - classrooms are way smaller now and there’s no space for all that. Plus Common Core took away all the play time, art, creativity, etc. I would hate being a kid and having to go to school now. It’s no fun!

great way to inspire the kids smart ideas.

I don't know how I could possibly simulate this at home. Conversation? Play? I'd pay big money for this.

I teach kindergarten and it honestly doesn't feel like I am teaching kindergarten. It feels like I am teaching 3rd grade.

Actually took dramatic play away from the classroom.
