In the last video you asked me to tell you how your tips from part 1 worked. I just wanted to tell you that with some practice I was able to get the spikes to stick almost everytime from about 3 or 4 meters away. Thanks :).

BananaCellphone Yes! Congrats! Thanks for letting me know. I am the same way... obviously from this video. :) I think you could get more distance with a longer, heavier spike. I've seen better range out of 11 - 12" spikes that are taped up at the end.

***** I guess you could breathe like you're shooting a gun (exhale before and after the throw)... but honestly, I just breathe normally. Though, when I watch Jack Dagger, a professional, throw, he lets out a breath, sinks into his stance, and then throws. I'm not sure if he holds his breath... you could always ask him. Thanks, Armin! Great videos yet again Xolette ;). Makes me want a set of spikes even more. Looked at flying steel & they have 3 types @ $28, $30,& $50. I was assuming they'd be a little less expensive or had a package deal lol. Condor dismissal next? Pretty please ;)

I have the Dismissal review already taped-- just have to go through the long process of editing. :) As for the price difference, I noticed that the Javelance was slightly more expensive than the Javelites-- but rightly so, as it is twice as heavy. I didn't go with the Javelances though for my friend, as I wanted her to throw something that I thought was apartment-friendly and I haven't tried out the Javelances yet. Anyways, glad you found it! Let me know how you like them!

Thanks! No, it's the same one. I was just hoping a bird would eat it, but that never happened. So a few days afterward, (as you saw in this video) I pulled it out of the hole it was stuck in and that half of his body was already decomposed. :)

word of advice to using tape to weight your projectiles: Do so in an OCD-esc super organized, measured way , or your projectiles will each have a significantly unique balance and weight to them, making series throwing very hard. PS that double hair-to-target throw was gangster.

Devin Workman Ralph Thorn's Combat Knife Throwing DVD is great for learning no spin throwing. And then there's "Knife Throwing 101" by Jack Dagger, a professional knife thrower. Hope that helps I also have a playlist on my channel specifically for beginners.

Good video. Have you try sitting and throwing from the waist. Underhanded? Myself, I use a small spike, more a bo type.

Diebulfrog79 I didn't catch the underhanded question, in which the answer would be no, but I don't think I have space for that throw. The floor would get in the way? Maybe it'd be easier to do with bo shuriken.

Yes, it's easier with a bo type shuriken. But what I have read and practice was used in old Japan. Was the same size as your spike. Tuck in the waist band, you could not carry a sword in certain households. But spikes, shurikens, and long daggers were okay. Same grip, but a underhand throw, not a spin but more a direct whip. I tried chopsticks on a soft foam target. Kinda mix results, I figure this was develop during tea drinking, or meals, when one was sitting or eating.

OMG, I love Lucifer and Maze! I have a video throwing my karambit-- not as easy to get the curved tip to stick. I started throwing mainly bc many years ago I was on a website that was selling throwing knives, and after having bought a blow dart (that sucked) I wanted to make use of the target I had. Plus I thought it looked cool in movies. :)

Ok b4 I share what I found I'd like to tell which 3 (4) spikes flying steel provides. The javelance @ $28, the sarissa @ $30 dollars, & the SWH @ $50. With that being said I finally got a reply from Patrick. He informed me that the javelance is replacing the javelite. But it can be special ordered for $30 each. Now to decide which one I want lol.

Bradley Stephens Were the javelites $30 or $20 each? Out of the spikes being sold I'd go with the javelance... only because if it's meant to be a better design than the javelite, and similar to the East Wind (one of my favorite knives). I have heard good things though about the SWH. Though, I still believe a smaller spike (even the Javelites are pretty big compared to bo-shuriken) is better for indoor throwing and if you're using an archery target or rubber tile target, the conical shape of the spikes won't damage the target like a knife would. So if throwing indoors with said targets, go for the javelites. But I can't say for sure, since I don't have a set of javelances. With whatever you choose, let me know how you like them! :)

You need to show how to use your legs because you say inside that from sitting you cannot use them, and when you do use them your throws have much more range
