Through his heart-rending story, Solomon takes us on a journey through the twists and turns of a privileged but confusing upbringing, his "harmless experiments" with alcohol as a teenager, and his eventual addiction. Denial and blame games that followed eventually rendered him homeless.
Find his book, " CHOKORA" in Nairobi town at Former Ebrahim mall first-floor shop f1. along Moi Avenue, opposite Imenti house.

Solomon your story is full of lessons, 1. A practical, non-academic explanation of what the disease of alcoholism is all about, its different stages including its final stage which is early death. Also the stigma associated with the disease. 2. People in the streets are there due to different circumstances and in many cases they are not looking for the coin that I give them. They are more interested in me boosting their morale and dignity, and recognizing them as normal human being. I like your humor, you are an excellent speaker, the way you put everything in context I can literally see through your life. I can't wait to visit you. Keep up the good work.

Solomon, your testimony is one of the best ever told that I've heard, it had everything, humour , sadness, regret, lessons and many other elements that we could draw from, but the one that really got me was when we you talked directly to us men and why we should not lock in our underlying issues, that hit me right inside, we have so many issues that we are in Denial about, you spoke to me sir, you painted a picture to what humanity is and can do to a person in its absence, esteem issues are bigger than we want to admit , but you laid it bare for us all to see using you're testimony, thank you so very much and I'm so happy for you that you have found your purpose , listening to you has made an enormous paradigm shift in my mentality about especially men on the street battling dependency of drugs and alcoholism, you are not where you are by accident but by design, so God will continue to bless your work, thank you so much again for blessing us with your testimony, I know you have saved many and will continue to save even more , God bless you

Thro Justus I have grasped that I had been in the bush of which I had to come out by myself. It is a long story. This is after I was reaccepted in the church back in 2000. It had been I tough challenge far much worse that international acceptance. This is not the point. Am a Catholic by faith and ordained Catholic priests ordained behind yesterday have done to the best of their ability as the spirit leads. Option left for me was come out the bush. Imagine this an are they could not reach. Thro Justus I have come to senses and I feel am new creature. Let's wait and see what is about to happen. 22 yrs down the line I have gone thro hell on earth. Reason behind coz trying to defend my faith. As we speak it has just revealed in the mind I have won the battle since I have kept my faith. It is a long story that has affected my life and my children. I have realized myself after following Justus in part 1 and 2 respectively. May God bless Justus. Amen. Get the image thro Justus I have grasped that I have kept my faith. Justus you are God's instrument and also in future to come.

So great work. Such a great ministry. May God bless this brother and give him great help in this kind of a ministry. God allowed him to go through it so that he can later be a deliverer of many others going through the same situation. I'm a victim of child abuse and I've written a book about it. My mom who gave birth to me in teenage and dropped out of school hated me and rejected me so much. She tortured me mercilessly physically and psychologically. Right now I'm believing God to start a children's home, a rescue center and a school for the vulnerable children. I do that kind of ministry by God's grace. May God bless and preserve you my brother Kilanga.

It's like God brought you into this corrupt system of things so that you can be the voice of the forgotten. I love that part of yr early childhood. I can relate to it and even me ,I can say that my early childhood is and will be the best part of my life.Like we had nothing yet we felt rich and complete. I too used to do mud sliding down a hilly place during the rainy season and we used to be naked...yes most village children those days used to do their lives clotheless and it looked so natural. Nobody had money to buy clothes for us children especially for the boy child except (maybe)only a long kaki shirt which could barely cover his "where it matters". Us children used to be permanently happy although permanently poor.. How I wish my children could enjoy that privilege. I love yr rich English .There was a reason for that sad experience .God was preparing you for your mission. You had to experience it in person for you to understand yr mission well. Hope to see you soon my brother 🙏

Very inspiring story. I have a brother that went thru the same journey I mean literally everything you did he did. But we thank God he did a 180 too, 3 years ago and now he does counseling to young adults and is studying to be a youth minister.. what we learned from our brother is, change happens within not without ..You have to want to change otherwise every effort your loved ones would offer would be useless! Remember the 3 c's of life ,CHOICES,CHANCES &CHANGES You must make a choice to take a chance or your life will never change!

Solomon, thank you so much for sharing your story. This is very powerful, very important for recovering addicts and also for other people who can never "see" the person that is going through this. Praise God for he is able.

If Christians lived by Kamau's example, they'd convert so many to Christianity. Live a moral life that others admire and when they ask why you're so different, it's an opportunity to proclaim the salvation of Christ.

You have shared your story beautifully. You have described the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in a wonderful way. You explain why rehab is not enough for addicts. They need to heal from childhood adversity if total healing is to happen. Thank you very much for sharing your story.
