Your buddy should put a pressure switch, limit switch on the parking yoke. He can set it so that the crane is secure, but won’t be able to crunch the cab… stuff like that happens after a long day in the field. Awesome build.

Man, what a fantastic build on Milton's truck deck and mount for his new crane, I bet you're glad you decided to center mount the crane now. Great job Isaac, you got the skills man, there was a heck of a lot of nutting out for you to do on this job and you nailed it. Chur for the reel. I'm sure there must be a business out there that would sponsor Isaac with an Auto Darkening Welding Helmet.😃

Absolutely more! Outstanding set of “how to do it right, “ so you can utilize the capabilities of that killer crane. Almost too powerful 😮. A person could easily get into trouble before getting used to its sensitivity and grunt. Really enjoyed the teamwork without any discernible issues. Someone who has never reworked a piece of equipment would not understand the many issues that go into the job. But with your knowledge everything looked easy. A sign of professionalism when such a complicated task when done by talented craftsmanship looks like anyone could do it, those of us who have, appreciate seeing your skill sets in action! It’ll never fail due to lack of strength. Might have to weight it down with a full compliment of the shop for ballast 😂.

You guys work well together. It is so nice when you have a work mate of equal or better skill. My son and I have that association but we seldom get a chance to work together. He is in North Carolina and I'm in Illinois. He is strong in electrical issues, I'm strong in machining and welding. He was here a year ago and we marched thru three major projects relating to our/my needs here in Illinois. I've not had the opportunity to work with him out there because he is fully employed. A very nice truck bed. I built one some years back for a friend who had a lawn treatment business. Seeing your project certainly brought back memories of that project. We were in an unheated building in the dead of winter that did pose a few problems in our work. It was just a flat bed to which he mounted pumps and tanks. We did incorporate a "step" assembly that allowed him to "walk" up on the deck vs "climbing" or using a ladder. I can't believe the "master of the torch" would even think of using a "hole saw"!!!! LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!

I'm in the process of building my new horse. I'm running a 96 F350 now with 300k on it. The "new" one is a 96 F450 Super Duty with an 84" wheel base and barely 100k in mint condition. I have a weld deck behind the cab and a 9' tool bed behind that with a 30" work bumper. Would love to have a crane but it's not in the budget at the moment. Love the video as I try not to be envious. Back in my company days I ran an FL70 freightliner with all the goodies. This Super Duty will have to do for now. I ran the F350 for 15 years and not sure why at my age I'm building a new truck, Just a glutton for punishment, I guess. Keep it up. Loving your content.

Beautiful work as always, and all broken down into bite-sized easy to understand pieces. Thank you. To make hole saws slightly less awful to work with, predrill the center hole and put a piece of 1/4” drill rod in the hole saw instead of a drill bit. Much stronger and works better. Also drill a hole on the edge of where the hole saw will be cutting, this gives a place for the swarf to fall out instead of just clogging up the teeth.
