Just finished this race. This is why I watch IMSA. Easily the best race of the season and I think this is the best sports car race of the year. Way to go out on top for Mazda. I hope this convinces Mazda to maybe commit to something in the future.

Honestly that fight back and late move was peak endurance racing.

What a race! I’ve been following IMSA for 2 years now and Mazda may have left DPi but I’ll still be tuning in next season 😁😁🏁🏁

Mazda may have left, but it doesn't mean that 55 car won't be here if someone takes it over.... ;)

Omg that move by the 55 wooow and what a race. That #10 sending a move at the end of the last lap after 10 hours and leading the championship until like a 100 m before the line. I mean this is crazy

Why is it necessary to point out the time at 3:33:33 or with 33 minutes left to go? Is there some Freemasonry being encoded here? Luke 8:17

Fantastic race. And the commentary team are all legends. But I'm surprised that nobody talked about how Nasr changed lines under breaking there for turn 10a.

How is it possible? The M8 takes pole, but is actually of the pace?🙄

Took a while to get to this, but to my eyes, that looked like a change of direction in the braking zone from the 31. Not a fan of intervening post race, but at the same time.... It's one way to win a championship, I'll mimic what some have been saying regarding Verstappen's driving in F1, but that's not how I want to see my racing done. Don't blame Nasr(? pretty sure it was) in the slightest, we know how good a driver he is, but yeah.... A win under a cloud is a win nonetheless.
@teep133 жыл бұрын
he was already turning into the corner with how far back taylor sent it. absolute desperation
@Dethmeister3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a blocking move. He wasn't turning into the corner yet. He changed lanes to block. You're not supposed to move to react to the car behind you in IMSA.
@Dethmeister3 жыл бұрын
I will also say that even though it was a blocking move by the 31, I think the officials didn't penalize him for several reasons: 1. It was the first offense and would have just been a warning anyway. 2. It was the last lap and usually anything goes on the last lap. 3. The 10's dive bomb was reckless and he probably wouldn't have been able to make the turn even if he wasn't hit and if he was able to stop before going off, he would have been at an odd angle, blocking the track and the 31.
@EikeSky3 жыл бұрын
@@Dethmeister fair response, and agree with the warnings. I do disagree that the 10 wouldn't have made the corner. We'd seen similar moves pulled off by several dpi's (without the contact) throughout the 10 hours. As I say, the other two points absolutely make up for that though 😀

I personally feel like, Nasr forced Taylor off the track... and would've been door to door with Nasr by corner apex. So for me, the pass for position was justified.

The LMP3 class is a disaster
@gregoryf92993 жыл бұрын
Why so? Didnt watch the whole race and didn’t see lmp3 coverage on the spots I checked; it seems a good option for smaller/less rich teams to race (from what I read lmp2 and GTD are both more expensive).

IMSA Please please please don`t ever have Jonny Mowlem commentating ever again, he just doesn`t know when to shut up. He totally ruined the commentry talking over Jeremy shaw & John Hindhaugh all the time and interrupting them and not willing to let them speak - Example at 24:07 - 24:30 and this happened all through the event - very very annoying.
