The 9 squares usually follow the shape of the room. If most of the room is in one section, then the room is considered in that section. If it is half and half, you have choices to enhance the lucky sector, and move furniture away from the inauspicious one.

Hi Picture Healer, I hope this is not an inconvenience to you, but I do have a question: ~ As far as concerns the Lian Zhen star at East, you've wrote that East belongs to the Wood element, therefore the power of the 5 yellow Earth star is reduced here, or better yet, controlled by the Wood element of the East, so up to this point it's all fine, but you also add that it is best to also place Metal in the East area to weakening or exhaust Earth; now I know too that Metal exhasusts Earth, but Metal also destroys Wood, so why placing Wood if we're going to destroy it ny adding Metal, while the absence of Wood allows the Earth star to strengthen again? Isn't that "overkill?"...and actually, does the mean cancels the purpose in this instance? Do you see what I see or is just me seeing a bit of a contraddiction here??? Wouldn't Wood only be enough here to control the Earth element? Don't get me wrong, if I have to I can place Metal Wu Luo and other metal objects and colors here, but I just don't want to destroy the so precious element of Wood in this area. I would really like to see an answer back, if possible, thank you :)

You must 1st differentiate between the house grid location luck & the annual visiting flying star luck. The #5 star brings sickness in year 2020 & belongs to the earth elements. In fungshui the elements not only weakens but also hinders/ clashes against other elements. These are 2 different actions & have different effects. When the #5 earth star visits the east which is permanently wood it creates a clashing which lessens the effect of the #5 star. By placing metal it furthers absorb the earth nature of the #5 star. In general we know that is the area of sickness. Some may recommend adding salt water cure or metal wind chimes to further reduce the earth nature of the #5 star. Wulou or gourd is the basic common tool to absorb sickness so it's highly recommended. The wood nature of the east happens to be just in place & therefore is not a fungshui remedy but just that area's element itself. The fungshui remedy is given because some believe the annual flying stars may have a stronger effect than the original house grid luck itself

I was a bit reluctant about removing a big aquarium from the East, but as the energy of 2020 has just began to settle in I realized pretty quick that the aquarium had to be removed from that area. Salt and water cures are usually my "first aid" remedy for number 2 and 5, for sure. Metal is the right element for the East this year, I agree, I have already addressed the issue, no problem. I guess, I was just dragging my feet about that and realized that instead of complaining I had to quickly address the issue. Thank you again for the explanation, very nice of you :)

Should we place furniture like a couch with the back to the unlucky direction such as facing the west or should we put it on the west wall with our backs to the west and facing East? I’m not sure where to have the setting exactly. Please help and thank you for your time and generosity.

U must 1st determine your house facing direction & then divide them into nine grids or squares. Then determine the square which your couch is at & correspond to the annual flying stars. If your couch is in the good star grid the next thing you wanna check if it's facing the year breaker or the three killings as well as the grand duke. The last thing maybe is to make sure u aren't sitting under a beam & u aren't facing the back or your TV.

I have some questions. Please help. Is this laying out your home evenly to 9 squares for each direction or do I need to do a compass reading and if so where do I stand to take the directions? If the compass is very important can you direct me to one of your videos that would help to understand this?

In classical feng shui you find out the direction of the facing at the main entrance. Say, north is your facing, than south is the backing . Than you need to find the period your house was built . From tjat you can determine the facing star and mountain stars for your house .

Stand near your main door facing out. Use your compass to determine your facing direction. Overlay the nine grid squares on your house plan. Make sure your compass reading isn't affected by any metal or steel objects near your position.

Can you ignore the 6 grid and redraw it with 9 grid? Just overlay the 9 box grid on top of your floor plan.

Either north or south is fine. Some people like to place Pi Xiu facing out (window or door) to symbolize going out to make money for you. It does not have a direction limit.

That is a lot of cures in your bedroom. It does not hurt to put everything but it is not necessary. The Obsidian will control the Tai Sui, and the fresh flowers displaying for a few weeks should help with the love energy. Good luck, and thank you for getting my planner.
