These pipes must have had quite a life prior to your refurb. Your work is fantastic in bringing them back to life from what essentially was their bagpipe coffin.

Thank you for this information. I’m pretty sure it was a military pipe. I think this because the beading and combing on the bass bottom joint has been completely worn down. Probably by a plaid brooch.

Stupid people cutting hemp of the lazy way, i hate seeing that on pipes, however your marks are not deep, ive seen an idiot doing it with a new stanley blade and it cut nearly half way through the pin, they were also a set of full engraved silver
