Wayne there’s a bracket that allows you to mount your power pole on your motor. I’ve been looking but haven’t found it but I see a picture with a guy with the same micro power pole attached to his motor. It’s could’ve been custom built.

How did that trolling motor mount screw and hold onto the deck? Just giant screws? I bought a used bow motor for mine and want to make a mount but I'm trying to avoid removing the entire deck to use bolts from underneath.

MC, good video. I just purchased the same boat. Can you elaborate on how you mounted the deck trolling motor mount? Did the mount come with instructions? How long were the lag screws? Did the screws just go into the wood decking or extend into the plastic hull? The reason I'm asking, the part appears to be on back order and I was thinking about fabricating one. Looks like you have the 8 inch wheels with the 16 in tires, how fast can you safely tow that on the freeway ? Nice setup, have the same boat, mine has two batteries and a front and rear mount trolling motor, the rear is remote controlled, I can use both at the same time. I added a Hummingbird Helix 5 depth finder.

MC... What thrust is that MK Edge? I noticed you have a Weed Wedge 2 on it. I have a 45lb Edge and I was told only the Weed Wedge "1" would fit.

Yes the Weed Wedge 2 will work on your 45lb Edge (Minnkota Mkp-32 Weedles Wedge Prop 2). My trolling motor is a 55lb Thrust.

Just got my Sun Dolphin Pro 10.2 today i found it to be missing its manual and a Oarlock lock set w/ instructions, failed to see this while at West Marine. Its solid for a small craft as this, but it does need some Mod's. Lets see more vid's on your Sun Dolphin, thx

extentpaddlegear.com/shop/fishing-boat-accessories/motor-mount-pro-120/ Above is the MOTOR MOUNT (PRO 120). You can go with an 45-55 thrust trolling motor and personally I would go with the 55. As far as the setup only thing I did was mount the trolling motor to the motor mount and the boat come with the pre-wire setup for the trolling motor.

Good video, I was trying to find a way to get 2 batteries on this boat..and your video helped. I bought a 27DC but imma have to go 2 24DC. How long did you last out there just trolling using 2 batteries?

Rookie Chang Yes 2 24DC batteries will work. As long as your batteries are over 100AH it will last all day meaning I fish in tournaments for 6-8 hours.

Rookie Chang They come 105AH, when you run a 24v system it doubles the AH capacity which for my batteries equals to 210AH an it last me the entire 6plus hours and still have above 60% life left.

Hey MC, I've been bouncing around on what solo/2 man boat I could get for mostly electric water and I keep coming back to your videos for reference on the Sun Dolphin 120. My question to you would be if this boat would work with a big man up front while solo. I'm almost 300lbs and I'm concerned if the boat would be overly front heavy if I'm sitting up there by myself. Your setup and description of this boat has me really considering it. Any thoughts on the rig since you've used it for awhile?

Austinite Capacity weight is 600lbs for the Sun Dolphin Pro 120. The boat will hold up well even sitting on the deck of the boat.

The boat is rated for a 15hp motor but you can’t go wrong with a 9.9hp. I personally want the 15 for more power.

DeltaProMaster Lauj Before I sold the boat, I bought an 15hp 2 stroke Yamaha 15MSHA. It ran extremely well topping around 19mph but you would get soak and wet at full throttle.
