Good for you young man! I would have given anything to have tjat at your age! The things you learn with that boat will be your core for a lifetime of fishing. As you move on to bigger and faster boats as you get older, I'm sure you will always look back to your times on this boat as, "The good old days"! I actually have one of these rigged as my skinny river fishing boats and I use it for Musky. The only thing that needs to be change with your rig and trust me when I say this is the trolling motor mount. Build one yourself because that cheapo tab they give you will fail you all the time and if you end up with a foot control troller up front at any point you are going to want it . Also the long pedestals with the bike seats are so very useful in a boat this sized. I love your rig kid and have one just like it. One thing I did with mine was I filled the empty cavity space in the boat with 2 part expanding foam. It makes the boat become indestructible and it can never leak . Your transom becomes 100X stronger and I run a 25 hp 2 stroke on mine so I need it. Remember the motor size rating is based on 4 strokes weight not power so you can bump up the HP on these things and they ride like a dream if you stick to 2 stokes. Run your trolling motor batteries up front and that boat will serve you well . They are light and ride water like a powder puff. The livewell works and there is lots of room when you figure out how to set up the boat. I fish musky out of mine so that makes it even more crazy that I love this little boat. 9' rods and huge lures with a giant net and bump board and I could still fish 2 grown men and plug all day long in comfort . Good choice .

Kid you will remember this for the rest of your life.. My grandpa had a 14x36 Montgomery ward Jon boat (the bow movement) lol with a god only knows what brand 6hp 4stroke and I wouldn’t trade gold for the fish and memories we made on that thing. I would say you don’t realize it at your age right now but something tells me your quite a bit smarter then I was at your age hahaha. You have made yourself alot more then a fishing boat there bud… The reason I came across your video is I am 30 now and a special needs parent of a 5 year old running around and has recently shown a interest in doing some fishing. Papa is getting a little slower these days and was debating about finding something small and convenient for us to get out while we still can. After watching your video I don’t think I’m debating anymore… keep yourself safe and your lines tight bud. God bless you.

Need a boat to move back and forth from my sailboat. Looking for something I don't need a trailer so I can park at work. Need to transport valuables back and forth so my sailboat is basically not worth robbing or stealing. Needed to know basic performance of the boat. Couldn't find it anywhere. Until I ran across the youngster. He literally answered every one of my questions. No one else was even close. Great job kid.

Hey lil man, you could possibly get an adult to help you use a torch to heat up that raised area a little bit, then have someone or yourself apply some weight to it. Careful not to get burnt or put a hole in it, but that’s what the adult is for! Keep it up bud

There’s two small drain holes inside the battery compartment towards the back, it looks like you have something there that is covering those holes. Can you tell me what that is? Because mine always brings some water through those two little holes behind the battery and it wets the bottom of my battery every time.
